Making arrangements

You think back through the morning. The credit card was in your wallet, which for a good part of the morning was in your jacket, hanging up in your office while you were in meetings. There was a window of at least two hours when someone who had access to your office could have taken it.

Smiling coldly, you pick up the phone and call Jim Gavin. It takes you a few minutes to explain the situation and propose an idea. He immediately agrees, and chuckling he says he'll start making arrangements. You hang up and sit back in your chair, pondering possibilities and anticipating pleasures.
