Make Her Understand Her Value

Josh felt her body curl up on his lap in the afterglow. With her small frame, it was easy for her to fit on his lap. Though he felt the press of her soaked panted against him the entire time. That couldn't be comfortable, but she was likely far too tired to care. Her hands daintily gripped his arm, as if holding it for support.

Then he felt something against his leg. Sara had crawled over and herself curled herself against his leg. Her eyes closed as she put her head against him. It was like he had a pair of cats sitting on him.

Then Kelly broke the silence.

"I don't know why you're doing this." She whispered.

"You can't figure it out?" Josh chuckled, brushing some of the hair from her face. She peaked up at him with one eye.

"I mean...well I know what it means. But, why me?" She sounded flabbergasted. Lost for words. "You've got such an incredible first. And you don't even have a second yet." She tilted her head to the side so he could no longer see her expression. "My mother was Daddy's eighth. I wasn't even his first daughter from her. I always figured, I'd end up maybe sixth or seventh for someone."

"Why would you assume that?" He tilted her head back towards him, forcing her to meet him in the eyes. "You're pretty. You're smart. You're cute. You're worth it."

Her eyes widened slightly as he said that. But, he couldn't help but notice the way that she seemed to sink deeper into his lap.

"Well, you're the first person to even say that." She mumbled darkly. "All my life I've been passed up for someone prettier. Wealthier. A better status symbol."
