Madam Lauret

In the middle of one of the most consequential periods in European history a single person is jockeying to be first before all her rivals. This someone is called Madam Lauret or in modern English “Lauren”. Before the revolution Lauren was known to be a noble with major power in France. During her life she was called rude and annoying by other nobles. She had rivalries with most other noble women and even her own sister the one Madam Marie Vanet or in her more common English her name was Vanessa. Lauren and Vanessa had a well known but poorly documented rivalry and they often had other lesser noble help them in their schemes against each other. What is well understood is that when the revolution came the sisters decided to declare a “truce” to save themselves from it but no one knows what happened to them after.

Historians have come up with several theories on what had become of the sisters. Some claim that they were executed but no records or documents have been found to prove it. Other proclaim that they managed to flee to either the U.S or Britain but no record of arrival exists to support it. While others say that they managed to to keep hidden in France. Either way the sisters legacy has never been found since their mansion was burnt down and looted by the revolutionary government leaving only scattered relics as their legacy.
