Lunch plans

“Sharon, aren’t you supposed to attend the same lunch as me?” Tommy replied, turning his head to look at her, “You know, for Courtney?”

“Right,” Tommy would very much have preferred not to see the look of disappointment now on Sharon’s face, “I forgot.”

“Fuck it,” Tommy thought to himself as he tried to deal with the way in which Sharon was looking at him. If he was going to do this, he was going to do it right.

Slipping out of her arms, Tommy rolled over onto his side, thereby presenting Sharon with an excellent view of his backside and his ass, and picked up his phone before resuming his position lying on his back.

First, Tommy clicked his way through his list of contacts down to “S”, marvelling at the fact that while it had been great to receive a handjob from Sharon and an equally momentous joy to eat her out, perhaps the best thing about the whole day so far was seeing her name and number added to his phone. It seemed to hold a promise of what the future would bring for them.

“Hi Courtney,” Sharon could hear Tommy speak into his phone, and she perceived the muted sounds of Courtney answering on the other end of the line, “happy birthday!”

“I’m going to have to miss your birthday lunch,” Tommy told Courtney, “but I’ll try to see you before I leave, and I promise to make it up to you next month, when I get back.”

“Oh and yeah, I almost forgot… Sharon’s going to miss your lunch too.”

Smiling with her mouth and her eyes, Sharon was lovingly stroking Tommy’s stomach as he added “Well, you’ll just have to ask her” while sporting a mischievous grin.

“And I like I said, happy birthday! Be sure to make Jeremy hug you happy birthday from me.”

“There,” Tommy said as he put his phone back on his towel, “now we’re all set.”

“I think I’m going to get some questions from Courtney later,” Sharon smiled at Tommy, still not quite able to comprehend what he had just done. Had she needed any further proof that he wasn’t going after her simply because he thought that she was easy, then that had been it.

“Yeah well, hopefully Jeremy can keep her busy till I get back.” Tommy replied, tightening his one-armed embrace of her.

“What?”

“Come on, you must have seen the way in which they keep looking at each other.”

“I just figured that it was a crush.” Sharon broke their embrace and sat up.

“Crushes don’t last for fourteen years.”

Suddenly it dawned on Sharon why Courtney had spent the last months toning her body, why she would always seem lost for words whenever Jeremy’s name was mentioned and why neither of them had ever been in any kind of relationship beyond a few dates. It wasn’t a fun moment for Sharon as she found herself having to deal with her fears that what she had done that night with Jeremy would destroy their chances to be together. And then there was Tommy, whom would have to find out about her mistake sooner or later.

“Something’s wrong?” Tommy asked, noticing Sharon’s troubled expression, and she decided there and then that she would wait in telling him. He didn’t need any more distractions during the next few weeks, and if he would end up hating her for not telling him sooner and calling her a slut, then that was the price she’d have to pay. Worst case scenario, she’d get a month of flirting with him and then nothing more.

“No,” Sharon began, masking the slight trembling in her voice quickly enough for him not to pick up on it, “I just think we’d better get moving, that’s all.”

“Hey,” Sharon smiled at Tommy a few minutes later, after she’d caught him staring at her as she slid her miniscule shorts up her legs, “what are you looking at?”

“You.” Tommy replied, not feeling the need to come up with anything new or funny.

With Tommy still being naked and Sharon only wearing her shorts, she came up to him and placed her arms on his shoulders before planting a short, soft kiss on his lips which wasn’t so much about arousal as tenderness.

“So,” Sharon felt her body tingle as she kept her lips tantalizingly close to Tommy’s while his hands came to rest upon her waist, “any ideas on what we should do for our first date?”
