Lunch Time (V)

When you head towards lunch with Ash you hear whispers surrounding the lunchroom and people are looking at you. You gulp as you sit down at your table. When you do Dakota immediately pounces at you with questions.

"Alex! What fuck did you do?" He says worriedly. You begin to sweat a bit and begin darting your eye around the lunchroom. "N-nothing." You say nervously. Ash then speaks up for you. "Alex done fucked up with Veronica." She says while casually gulping a whole hot dog.

"Well shit, I thought the gossip was fake," He says while looking around seeing people looking at you whispering. You let out nervous laughter, "Everything is going to be fine... Right guys?" You say waiting for confirmation. They didn't say anything and were looking at something behind you. "Guys?" You say as you slowly turn your head.

You see Veronica there with her arm crossed looking at you. You gulp your throat seeing her presence. "We need to talk Alex." She says before you can say anything. "Outside now!" She says raising her tone a bit.

You steel your nerves as you get up from your seat and face Veronica. You hear people around you whispering. "They going to fight." "Alex is dead." "Well, there goes Alex." hearing all of this whisper didn't help at all. Just made you nervous. Veronica then turns around and starts walking away, presumably you have to follow her.

You turn around to see if your friends got your back. Dakota was pretending to be dead on the table and you see Ash giving you two dumbs up with a cheeky smile. You facepalm your face and walk outside with Veronica.

No one dared to follow along, not wanting to piss the already pissed off, Veronica. She finally stops outside the courtyard and turned to you and let out a sigh. "Look we need to talk about the little incident you did in the hallway." She says as she puts her hand on her hip.

You scratch your hair and look at the ground. "Look I'm sorry. If you want we can pretend tha-" Before you can continue. Veronica puts her finger on your lips to silence you.

"Don't you dare pretend it didn't happen! Look, I think we haven't been honest with each other..." She says the last part with a sigh. "As you can tell I clearly like you, Alex. I know how cliche it is, the mean girl having a crush on the person they are mean to." She then briefly pause and grab both of your hands.

"So I'm sorry how I treated you for the past four years. It's completely understandable that you don't want to... date such a bitch. Can we at least try again? This time as friends instead of enemies... If you don't want to that completely fine too!" She saying the last part while biting her lips waiting for your response.
