Little moments.

Funnily enough, the AMA has done wonders for your work productivity. You spend the rest of the afternoon focused. Your motivation for this is solely increasing your score with Jan. You know that it's important to be patient but you're anxious to see what's possible when people have higher scores. Now that you know about Love and Lust scores, the opportunities seem endless.

A little after 4, Jan wanders around the office a bit, checking in with all of the departments. When she visits you and Hana, your focus on your work breaks. It's hard to control your thoughts with her standing right next to you. Hana makes small talk with Jan while you imagine bending her over your desk and having your way with her. You try to calm yourself before you become visibly aroused. Anyways, progress with Jan was more long term. It's going to take a while before any perverted fantasy of yours including her even have a remote chance of happening.

Gone are the thoughts that the AMA is too good to be true. You've bought in. The smile that Hana gives you after Jan walks away is all the proof you need. You notice that her score is now 61. Incredible. The two of you have hardly interacted for the past few hours.

She rolls her chair towards you and puts her hand on your arm, "Well that went well. Don't ya think?"

You take a deep breath and clear your head before answering, "Yup. I think the key is you keeping her focused on you so that she doesn't remember how much she hates me."

"Frank... she doesn't hate you..."

You start to disagree but Hana smirks and continues.

"That much..."

The two of you share a good laugh.

"Well, good news is that things are improving. I've kind of figured out how to handle Jan."

Hana raises her eyebrows and asks, "Well, let me in on your secret."

You wonder how Hana would respond if you actually told her the truth. She'd probably think you were having delusions again or something.

"What does Jan care about more than anything? Work. So, the key to Jan's heart is by working hard. I wont be able to stay late any more because of our workouts starting but I think I'll try to start coming in early every day."

Taking her hand off of your arm, Hana rolls her chair back a few feet and says with an amused look, "The key to Jan's heart? Well, Frank, I didn't take you for a masochist."

You blush and try to clarify yourself, "Oh you know what I mean. I just want her to like me. I'm tired of everyone either hating me or not acknowledging me at all. So from now on, I'm just going to focus on improving all of the relationships in my life."

She gives you a thoughtful look, "Me included?"

"How am I doing?"

She pauses for a second before answering, "Shockingly well."

Your eyes glance up to the green 65 above her head.

Confidently, you grin and say, "I know."

Hana just looks at you for a minute, her face difficult to read. While the AMA gives you incredible powers, you're pretty sure that it doesn't allow you to read minds. Although, you don't even need it in this moment. You know what she's thinking. A rapidly increasing affection score and now a tiny love score means that she's almost definitely floored by her new relationship with you. How must the effects of the AMA be perceived by those oblivious to it's existence? It must be difficult to wrap your head around.

She sighs and rolls her chair back to her desk before saying, "Well good luck with your new calling, Frank."

You turn back to your work computer and try to have a productive end to the day. However, your thoughts prevent this from happening. All you can do is watch the clock on the corner of the screen as it counts down the minutes to 5 o'clock. You never thought that you'd be looking forward to going to the gym.
