Scrolling down the list, one name jumps out at you. Link, the main character in Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. You then remembered Link was a guest character in Soul Calibur 2 for the Gamecube, so technically he would be added. Either Nintendo really became lax with licencing their characters out, or this was a mod. Only one way to find out.
