There was no lawyer waiting for them at the station. The three Angels were taken to separate interrogation rooms. Eventually, public defenders showed up to allow police to question them.

All three Angels confessed everything they knew, reasoning that even if the immunity didn't come through, they'd done nothing wrong and would be allowed to go. Lily had killed not just one, but three goons who had been trying to kidnap Natalie Portman and **** Doutzen Kroes.

The only problem was that they couldn't prove any of it. The only witness to the **** said that she'd seen a beautiful woman walking happily with three men. Nobody had seen Doutzen get ****, and the sample of semen the police took from her ass did not match with any of the dead bodies.

"I'm tempted to charge you with obstruction," said the lead detective interviewing Doutzen. "However, in the circumstances, lying to save your friend seems understandable. I'm going to give you a chance. If I ever see you back in this station again, you won't be so lucky."

Lily certainly wasn't so lucky. With no evidence to support her claim that she was acting to defend Natalie, Doutzen, and Ali, she had no defense against ****. She was charged with three counts of first-degree ****. Furthermore, with Victoria's protection withdrawn, several historical charges were piled on top. Screaming her innocence, Lily was led away to a jail cell, where she would stay until she could be transferred to a supermax prison.

Released into the lobby, Ali and Doutzen took a call from Victoria.

"Hello, Angels. It is unfortunate that it has come to this. I can no longer protect you from the law, so don't make the same mistakes as Lily did. She is no longer my concern. However, it is now more important than ever that we solve this mystery. Ali, I am placing you in charge of the mission. I am assigning Lindsay Ellingson to your team to replace Lily. If you haven't cracked this by the end of the week, all of you will be fired."
