Lie to Greg

Melissa stands on the balcony. There's no way see can get out of it now. She'll have to resort to lying. Melissa walks back through the door from the balcony into the apartment watching as Greg comes through the front door dropping his bag by the door.

"Hi baby, I'm home-" Greg stops seeing Melissa dressed up super sexy. Greg is confused for a second wondering what the occasion is. "You dressed up for me?" Greg asks.

Melissa steps forward closer into the middle of the apartment. "Yeah, I just missed you, and thought I could dress up sexy for you." Melissa lies. She isn't very enthusiastic but Greg is too clueless to notice. Greg steps forward and kisses Melissa on the lips. Melissa kisses back, but doesn't give any tongue and feels quite bored. She internally tells herself that the relationship is definitely over. She's not in love with Greg at all. Amber was right, he is too much of a loser.

Greg smiles back at Melissa. He's totally in love. "Baby, don't move. I'm going to get showered, and dresses and then lets go get a nice dinner together. You and me." Greg says with all the romantic feelings swirling around him.

"Ok." Melissa says a little bored and doesn't care about going to eat. But Greg quickly dashes to the bathroom to take a quick shower anyway.

Melissa sits down on the couch feeling bored as she takes out her phone and mindlessly swipes right on a few more guys on tinder.

Melissa out of boredom sends Amber a text.

Melissa: Ugh, Greg is home early. You're right. I hate my life.

Amber: Grow up and dump him already.

Amber: Anyway. I'm going downtown to party tonight. Don't become a loser like him!

Melissa tosses her phone on the couch, feeling more mad at Amber now. Melissa and Amber are best friends but Amber really knows how to get on Melissa's nerves. Jealousy overcomes Melissa as she wishes she had a fun life like Amber.

The door opens and Greg rushes out of the shower in the bedroom and he starts to grab some clothes and get ready. Melissa picks her phone back and just mindless starts to read instagram. After about 20 minutes. Melissa stands up, wondering what's taking Greg so long. She pokes her head around the corner to the bedroom to see Greg laying on the bed, half dressed and passed out. He's snoring loudly and must be tired from all the hours he puts in.

"Wow. Fuck this." Melissa says and goes back to the couch. It's 7PM already now. Time went by so quickly and Melissa is just filled with rage. She rolls her eyes and lays back on the couch. Greg would question her if she left for that party now. The lie seemed to backfire. Melissa closes her eyes and just tried to calm herself down. Maybe tomorrow will be better as she starts to fall asleep on the couch.
