Leave them

"It's fine." Emma continues. "It's more comfortable without them anyway."

Finally giving in Sam starts up the car, heading back towards the house, the pair of them travelling in a suddenly awkward silence.

When they finally get back Sam helps Emma to unload the groceries into the cupboards, and Emma picks up her new dress. "I'm gonna go try it on." she tells him with a smile. "Again."

With a wink she's gone leaving Sam stood alone in the kitchen, unsure what he should do next, check out the pool? Maybe head back up to his room so he can collect his swimming gear? Or something completely different.
