Laying plans and setting out

Tir got a good rest that night, and then the next morning he was woke to the sounds of men working on the deck above him. Both Sherri and the whore Lauren had been moved into a room reserved for the Ship's whore, now Whores as the case may be, and he had not seen them for the rest of the night.

He dressed quickly and saw that most of the men had already gotten up, but a few were still sleeping off their night of fun at the bar. He went up on deck and saw that the last of their supplies were being loaded and that the captain was surrounded by people. Jean, Sherri, and a man that Tir didn't recognize were speaking with him. Jean waved to him and Tir joined them.

The other man was the one currently speaking when Tir got there. He had short brown hair and small round spectacles set on the bridge of his nose. Strapped across his lower back were two wicked looking daggers that made him a little jealous. But the man looked almost more of a scholar than a fighter because in his hands was several rolled maps and charts.

"So as I was saying captain, we should first go to Aurora, then Ling-chao, and then to Windlow."

Carlin stroked his beard for moment and closed his eyes in thought.

"Aurora is heavily populated but there are lots of information brokers there. Ling-Chao though... It is a heavily fortified position for the Church. Templar will be all over it and they don't take too kindly to pirates Rufus."

Rufus nodded slowly "Yes I know that, but I have some friends there that might be interested in helping us. Lets just say they arn't too fond of the Templar and that Ling-Chao will be possibly be under new management before we even get there. If my hunch is right, that will be full supplies and more aid before we even get to Windlow."

Jean sighed. "Yeah and we'll need as much as we can get before we get to Windlow. The information we got a few months back pointed to a major Veer operation there. We'll be going in fast and then need to run once we grab the vault from under them."

Sherri laughed. "That's assuming its even there. This is a bit of a bold plan you've got laid out here Rufus. You sure one ship can pull this off?"

Rufus pushed his glasses a little higher up his nose to get a better look at her. He wasn't the only one who was enjoying taking in the dancer's figure. Tir had noticed several of the crew members sneaking glances at her while they passed by.

"Yes, one ship can do it. I'm not saying that it will be easy, but with the right amount of pressure in the perfect spot, any boulder can be broken with very little work needed. We can do this."

Jean laughed and put a hand on Rufus's shoulder. "If he says we can do it then we can. Just remember we also have to pick up Madam Tulip's daughter."

Tir gave jean a quizical look. "Who is that?"

"Madam Tulip runs the whore house we use. She has brothels throughout the islands and her daughter just turned eighteen. She wants us to pick her up on Aurora and "Bring her into zhe family bizznezz." We're essentially getting two whores for the price of one, but we have to stop to get her. She is supposed to be a virgin still so we'll be teaching her how to do her job."

Sherri stuck her chest out and put on a pouty face. "What, I'm not good enough for you?"

Jean probably would have said something witty and complementary, but he was too busy trying to keep from drooling as his eyes fell upon her cleavage. She may not have the biggest rack they had seen, but she certainly knew how to use it.

Carlin laughed and stepped between them.

"Well thats all well and good, but we need to be underway. Jean, you see to it that miss Sherri here is shown around and find a place where she can do her dance routine for us tonight. Rufus, make sure the helmsman knows our course. Tir, our little whore is still asleep in her room. Why don't you go see about waking her up and getting her ready. After we get sailing I'm sure some of the men that were busy working this morning might need a little release."

The big man winked at him and continued. "And you might want to go ahead and get some as well, since I know it had to have taken a lot to convince Sherri to join up. Well lads, get to work. We're setting out for you great adventure!"
