Rose’s face drained of all color as she stared at Lauren’s royal flush compared to her straight flush. Her heart sped up and then it felt like it stopped. She had lost. She had lost and now she had nothing left. She was at the complete mercy of Lauren!
Her worse nightmare had become true.
She gulped. “Well, Rose,” Lauren said. “It looks like you’re mine. And you have no one to blame but yourself.”
