Lauren is a super villain!

It will be hard for some to believe, but super villains are real and Lauren was one of them... or at least she now thought of herself as one. Until recently she had been just a lackey (or henchperson as she preferred) to a super villainess known as the Jade Sun. This was actually how most super villains who weren't mutated by radiation or disfigured by chemicals got their start, by apprenticing with a more established villain until he or she was defeated or they felt they were ready to strike out on their own. Lauren fell into this latter category.

For some time she had been tired of playing second fiddle to the Jade Sun, so when her boss's most recent plan to take over the world was foiled by the superhero, Golden Eagle, and she was once again carted off to prison, Lauren made her move. Before Interpol raided the island fortress she took one suitcase of cash from her boss's money vault and another suitcase full of experimental high tech weapons and gadgets. Using the cash she moved to a new secret lair beneath her old home town. She let down her hair and discarded the boring drab green jumpsuit and booties she had been obliged to wear as a henchperson and fashioned herself a suitably impressive gleaming red costume complete with matching headdress, form flattering bustier, thigh high boots with five inch platform heels (to boost her somewhat meager height) and of course a sweeping blood red cape.

Calling herself the Crimson Fury she vowed that she would take what she wanted from now on and make anyone who dared cross her pay dearly. The only question now was, where to start? Should she start small with something like a bank robbery? Should she try and seize power? She could easily intimidate her way into the mayor's seat she imagined. Or should she strike back against one of her old grudges? Stephanie Carter, her old rival from high school, was a lowly pediatric physician and still lived in the area. So many possibilities...
