Chapter 8 by ByThePowerOfSCIENCE ByThePowerOfSCIENCE

And so the dice continue to roll.

Later that evening

"I still question why you didn't roll a Nat one the whole game but right as you are about to kill the FINAL BOSS you manage to roll THREE CONSECUTIVE NAT ONES!!"

"Not my fault! I'm fairly certain that all of your stupid puns from Vicious Mockery managed to curse my dice. Did you really have to play Bard?"

You give off a small chuckle as Tina and Anna exchange some playful banter. Honestly, the Spider Goddess was one helluva challenge, and you were all lucky that the worst part of the battle was Tina's natural one frenzy. Jason interrupted their "fight" to tell everyone he was going to duck out a little early tonight, as he had an exam tomorrow and wanted to take another run through the material. Anna then chimed in that she had the same exam in the morning, and she would also have to leave. Everyone said goodnight, hugs were exchanged, and soon it was just you, Tina, Kyra, and Steven sitting in your living room, chilling out and winding down after a fun session of DND. Tina sat down next to Kyra, chatting it up with her about Kyra learning how to fight beyond cheating, and that she was still offering some basic boxing lessons. Kyra replied that she didn't need to know how to box, and that one punch with some brass knuckles was just as effective as any punch Tina could throw.

You decided now would be a good time to bathroom. On your way there, you noticed that one of your hoodie jackets had fallen from the coat rack onto the floor. Odd, considering it was securly on a hanger when you put it there earlier that night, but you shrugged your shoulders, picking it up to hang it back up. Just as you did so, a small note fell from the pocket, softly landing right next to your foot.

_'Well. The plot thickens.' _You thought to yourself, reaching down to pick up the note.

Who left the note? And what does it say?
