Lakes & Rivers

Water is one of the most essential substances for almost all life forms, so finding abundant sources of it is probably going to be a pretty high priority for most characters before long.

Rivers and lakes provide natural sources of this precious nectar. Though it may not taste as pleasant as filtered water, freshwater can be safely drunk directly from the source as long as there has not been a pollutant introduced into the source.

These points of water are natural gathering spots for wild animals, so following the local beasts may be a viable option to lead a player to where they want to be. Be cautious, however, of the fact that peaceful animals won't be all that gathers at these watering holes.
