Chapter 38

Well? which one?
Lady Sif
Sif was one of those still missing in Asgard, so Valkyrie suggested you two talk to Heimdall, Sif's brother and Watchman of the gods, to locate the missing goddess. Heimdall was less than cooperative.
"No" he repeated.
"We are in a sacred quest. How can you refuse us?" Valkyrie insisted.
"I saw how this beast behave, and I can tell you: He shall not get anywhere near my sister" the man seemed adamant, and his patience clearly could outlast Val's. So you decide to provoke him.
"Are you afraid of what I will do to her... or that she might like it?" even Aragorn, Valkyrie's winged horse, sneer next to you. His eyes gleam dangerously, but you stand firm.
"Be careful mortal" Heimdall warns.
"Or is it mere jealousy? What was it like, seeing your very sister blossoming in one hot bitch? Did you jack off while she took a bath?" that last part was too much, and you had just enough time to dodge Hofund, his magical blade.
He is a fast, strong and skilled warrior, but you are able to keep up even with this infuriated God. "Where is she... Earth? Valhala? Space?" you bait, but he seems set on looping off your head. You suddenly advance, your palm going straight to his forehead, while his Uru sword harmlessly bounce on your magically protected skin. You thank Freyja silently while you invade his thoughts with brute **** telepathy.
You see her in a white landscape. Ice peaked mountains, and a vast battlefield. The floor is littered with enormous bodies of frost giants, and the warrioress seems so very tired. But there are more coming, and she raises her sword, ready for their charge. "Jotunheim" you proclaim, satisfied with the answer.
Heimdall is dazed. His sword flares with cosmic powers, and you wonder if Freyja's protection would be strong enough to withstand this attack. But it never comes. Brunhilde stands between the two of you, saying "That is enough, Heimdal." And while he is angry at you, he is unwilling to strike down an old companion.
"... please don't. She is my sister. There are others who would serve just as well." The subdued warrior's plea makes you reconsider, you don't even feel particularly inclined to go after her, but Brunhilde speaks first "Do you remember when you were young and you tried to protect her before, Heimdall, what were her words?" she didn't repeat them, but the guardian god seems ashamed. "I will do you a favor and not mention your relapse, old friend"
You dont ask as Aragorn takes the two of you across the gasp between Worlds, to the cold realm of Jotunheim. It was the battlefied you had previously saw, but yet more giants joined the fray. Neither of you think twice, you join the fray heartedly, until it is finally clear of enemies.
Sif's red and white attire is in tethers, her smooth skin is almost blue from the cold, only a ragged bear skin protected her from the cold wind and enemy weapons. She hugs Brunhilde like a sister, thanking you two for your timely arrival, but asks what are you two doing here.
"This is Apotheosis... or his mortal name Lucius." Sif's blue eyes watch you intently, and she says "He has the face of a mortal, but the bearings of an Asgardian. He ate Idunn's apples" you dont deny it. "Impressive. It is rare for a mortal to be given this honor"
Valkyrie goes on to explain her mission, and Sif's face can only be described as incredulous. The raven haired Goddess burst laughing when Val says she is next.
"I am the Lady Sif. Born a goddess and forged a warrior. I have been baptized in the tears of my enemies. And their children's children fear my name." She proudly boasts, as her enchanted blade gracefully takes guard. "Many a warrior though to make me theirs, but none had the skill to make it happen. Lets test your mettle, and see how much better you fare"
Are you going to fight Sif?
