Kiss him

Ashley was certain that whatever was between them, Kurt must be feeling it too. She pulled herself towards the blue boy, and kissed him. It was clumsy, but with all of the passion of virgins everywhere. She was so certain he would kiss her back, she didn't even realize he had pushed her away until her butt landed on the ground with a thud.

"Was zur Hölle?!" She didn't speak German, but she recognized a swear when she heard it. "You can't just go around kissing people!"

"I thought-" Ashley's voice caught in her throat, "Did you not want me to?"

He hesitated. "We just met, Ashley. And maybe..." he shook his head. "But I can't stand for that sort of thing."

Ashley could feel her eyes getting hot, and willed herself not to cry. Great, not only had she ruined her chances with the first boy who had ever been remotely interested in her. And at the same time, with the first chance she had to having even a friend in as long as she could remember.

"I'll take you back to the institute." he said, but made no move to pick her back up.

It would be so easy, she realized, to fix this. She could just tell him it had never happened, or that he loved her, and it would be true. As easy as talking.
