Kindness of strangers

The crowd that had formed earlier as Lauren had been given mouth to mouth slowly dispersed. All that remained we're a few groups of concerned people, one of them a nice middle aged lady that seemed very interested in the situation. As Lauren sat up legs crossed with each of her palms placed over her stiff nipples, she mulled over her options. She couldn't really call anyone she knew. They would all find out her shameful secret and it would be excruciatingly embarrassing explaining to anyone the chain of events that had gotten her into this position in the first place.

The hunky lifeguard knelt down placing his hand on Lauren's bare shoulder of she thought it over, it was then the only lady that remained offered her help.

"You poor dear, I'd be happy to see that you get back to your family safe again. I'm here with my nephews and nieces for the day, they wouldn't mind someone else tagging along."

The lifeguard and Lauren looked up at the lady. She seemed nice enough, an older middle aged lady in a modest blue one piece bathing suit. She had big dark sunglasses on and a straw sun hat. Not being completely sure about the lady but also not having very many other options anyway, Lauren looked to her then back to the lifeguard. He spoke first, glad that Lauren would no longer be his responsibility.

"Are you sure its no problem? She can't really stay in the lifeguard tower unattended all day until somebody comes for her, but I can keep an eye on her until then." The lifeguard offered.

The lady was all too pleased to offer her support to Lauren and subsequently the lifeguard as well.

"Oh you're far too busy to be worried over a lost little scamp like this. It's no problem at all really. My name is Ronda by the way."

Lauren detested the way she was referred to as 'scamp' and talked about amongst the others as if she had no say in the matter. The lifeguard looked over the lady and thought it'd be a good idea, he first made sure Lauren was OK with it.

"What do you think? Ronda has been nice enough to see that you're safe. I have to get back to my watch at the tower. "
