Killer Moth finds an enemy

Killer Moth was never taken seriously by the heroes of Gotham City (Or its villains for that matter). But recently he’d overheard a plot to defeat many heroines through humiliation and nudity and loved every bit of it. However, years of defeat at the hand of the Bat Family made Killer Moth realize he’d have to be careful when choosing his target. An easy mark, but someone with enough clout that he’d get noticed for humiliating them.

He knew just who to pick; the plucky Gotham based heroine known as Flamebird.

To set his trap, Killer Moth intentionally left several obvious clues for Flamebird to find that led her directly into his lair.

Flamebird followed Killer Moth’s trail straight to where he wanted her. She made a subtle entrance through a side door to the warehouse she’d been directly to but Killer Moth had expected this. The moment Flamebird stepped far enough away from the window the lights went up, blinding her.

“Welcome to my Chrysalis, Flamebird! I’ve been expecting you!” Killer Moth’s voice boomed throughout the building thanks to some hidden speakers. Unfortunately, the cheap quality of the speakers he'd purchased made his voice nearly inaudible to the heroine. All it sounded like to Flamebird was a disorienting, garbled mess.

“What? What did you say?” Flamebird squinted into the light, trying to figure out where the noise was coming from.

What she didn’t know was that Killer Moth was hidden above her and had a grenade filled with knockout gas in his hand. With Flamebird right where he wanted her, Killer Moth tossed the grenade down and it released the sleeping gas.

Flamebird inhaled the gas and stumbled over. She fought against the gas and tried to stay awake but was quickly becoming overpowered. Seeing this, Killer Moth leaped down from the rafters and landed in front of her. He extended the wings on his suit with the intention of looking intimidating.

“Let’s see them try to laugh at me after this…”

“You'll never get away with...” Flamebird mumbled this half-complete cliche before she passed out completely.
