Kenny Wasn't Interested

Rachel took a few steps closer to Kenny, lightly nibbling on her lower lip as she looked the teen over. Rachel wasn't ashamed to admit there were certain parts of her that could be stereotypical, for instance, when a guy got angry...she liked that. Right or wrong, it always made her heart race a little when a guy started to speak with some authority, and just a minute ago, even though Kenny was wrong, he spoke like he knew exactly what was what. "We can get it done quick, Ken," Rachel murmured out, "Think of it as the last part of my apology for being...overzealous in helping you,"

Kenny let out a halfhearted chuckle and rubbed the back of his neck, "Thanks, but, uh, no thanks," He finally said as Rachel reached him,

"Huh?" Rachel hummed back in genuine surprise,

"Not really interested in doing that, Rach, sorry..." Kenny mumbled as he took a small step back, "I appreciate the offer and all, but I...I think I need to stop having so much sex," He weakly laughed,

"Oh...okay," Rachel said as her body slumped down and she slightly pouted, "You sure? Just a quicky?" Kenny couldn't help but fully laugh and shake his head, "Alright, fair enough, I'll talk to you later then," Rachel smirked before pushing up and planting a small kiss on the teens cheek, "At least I got you to stop hating me," She remarked with a wink before heading back out of the rec room.

Kenny let out a slow exhale and lowered his head; the teen felt a bit proud. It was an odd feeling to tell one of his longtime crushes that he didn't want her physically anymore. Well, of course, Kenny wanted Rachel on a physical level, but over the last few days all Kenny had done was break down and just go for a girl based off of that and it didn't ever really work out. Nicole nearly went crazy, Rachel had some really confusing motives, Mindy basically didn't happen in his mind, Kailyn was an almost immediate regret and Zoey...he still had no clue where he landed with her. But Kenny was going to do like JJ and Mindy suggested, give Zoey her space, let her think it all through. While he may be dealing with a little relationship trouble, he couldn't imagine what Zoey was still going through.

Suddenly Kenny heard the door to the rec room burst open and a crying Anna stumbled back inside, "Oh fuck, Anna..." Kenny nearly groaned as he instantly walked forward, allowing the girl to collapse into his arms once again, "Shit...are you okay?" The teen softly asked as he pursed his lips and simply waited for Anna to cry out her emotions once more.

Surprisingly Anna's shivering body started to relax a bit quicker than before, and her tears and cries tapered off into sniffles and whimpers almost instantly. "I-I can't go u-up there Kenny, w-what if Eric is w-with Nicole again?" Anna whispered out into his shoulder,

"I...I don't know, I'd want to tell you that you don't have to worry about that but...yeah, that could be a possibility," He reluctantly admitted before the pair went silent, "Anna...I know you're hurt and scared right now, but you can't just hide from Eric and Nicole, that's not fair to you. They did something wrong; they're the ones that should hide from sight,"

"Y-You're all I've got right now..." Anna suddenly replied, "I-I can't face this alone K-Kenny, I'll just hide if you don't h-help me,"

Kenny's eyes slightly widened, a bit surprised but overall understanding. When Nicole broke up, Kenny hid as well, and Kailyn ended up helping him some before Zoey stepped back in. Both girls gave him the relief and strength to just put his hurt in its place before he could figure out what his real thoughts on the matter were. Thanks to that, Kenny knew long before Nicole pulled him into the hall closet that he was done with her. Anna needed that too; she needed someone to support her while she figured out what she really thought. Could she forgive Eric and Nicole? Was one or both relationships salvageable? Or was she, like him, simply done?

"Alright, Anna...I can help you, you don't have to do this alone," The teen gently assured the girl let out a soft exhale and tightened her arms around him, "First things first, you got to get a change of clothes and shower. Don't let your fear and hurt shut you down," Kenny firmly stated while Anna pulled away from the embrace, wiping her eyes while nodding, "So, think you can try this again? Or do you want me to go with you?" Kenny asked with a sincere look, trying to show that he was willing to do whatever Anna would ask of him.

"I..." Anna whispered back before biting down on her lip. Kenny was right, she couldn't very well never enter that bedroom again, and she also couldn't stay in these clothes for the next few days either. Maybe he was right; she shouldn't let her emotions control her for once. Anna felt a small surge of confidence, willing her to walk upstairs and just walk into her room, grab a change of clothes then leave. The only thing that halted her was the thought of Eric asking to talk...she wasn't ready for that. Anna swiftly gulped, maybe if Kenny was with her Eric wouldn't say anything, or at least she could try to ignore him easier by talking to Kenny. Then again, she could just ask Kenny to grab her clothes while she stayed here...and hide...
