Even though she is considered one of country's biggest new stars, it was still a shock to Kelsea Ballerini that she was even up for Favorite Female Country Artist.

She also knew she was up against competition that she had no chance to beat unless she used the contest she had heard about to try and win some votes.

But Kelsea was also skeptical about the nature of the competition and how it could be perceived by some as "whoring" yourself out, which as a country singer with a wholesome image, wasn't something she was all that interested in.

But there was something about you that Kelsea couldn't put out of her mind, so she decided to be different for a change and just see where things went as far as the contest went.

"He seems harmless," she told herself once again as she steeled herself to contact you, choosing to do it by e-mail until she knew a little more about you.

And upon hearing she was going to be contacting you, you were steeling yourself for a different reason, since you had had a thing for her since she first debuted.
