Keiko twists one of the turrets into attacking its master

It didn't seem like Shiryoku was going to be tricked into blocking the shots of one of her turrets again. Each of those turrets moved in a pretty predictable pattern. Whenever one or both would get close to shooting her, Shiryoku would deploy a green, web barrier- presumably one of her god's weapons that had been shipped to her- and block attacks from that side. As long as the patterns were so easily recognizable, this was a stalemate neither your priestess or Bungen's could break.

Still... there was no reason the firing pattern of those turrets had to remain so predictable. Using divine inspiration, you gave Keiko another idea... This one relied less on cunning than brute force, in a way.

"That's right... if they're going to fire automatically, I can use that to my advantage," Keiko reasoned, changing the direction of her sprint so that she would end up behind one of the turrets. From this position, she couldn't be hit by the other. Grunting with exertion, she then grabbed that tree's nozzel and bent it, creating a wooden snapping noise as she manipulated it. Thankfully, it bent rather than cracking, and she was then able to use it freely as her own gun.

"Dammit, Shiryoku! Expel! Expel!" you heard Bungen complaining from your other side, as he messed around with the device on his wrist. You weren't sure what he meant, but at any rate, the verbal warning came too late. His priestess was already being pelted with bullets, which knocked free more of her armor and sent her staggering back. As she pressed against the wall, being clobbered by more and more of those shots, she clutched her glasses to her face and shielded them with one hand so they wouldn't be broken. With the other, she desperately tapped on a few of her remaining buttons. In short order, all of her weapons powered down, but the damage was done... the judges threw up T2!

"Excellent strategy, Katappashikara-dono!" Keiko praised you. It did indeed look like it had been pretty effective in ridding Shiryoku of that troublesome raiment...

And maybe now it was time to meet the real Shiryoku Zai?
