Keep running
You travel at incredible speed. As you cross a stream, you pick up on a sound approaching; a deeper "thump-thump-thump". Curious, you crane up to see a large dark metal thing flying in your direction. You see another biped through the hollow center of this thing. Before you can react, you hear a loud crack.
Blazing hot metal punches through your chest, spilling dark ichor into the stream. Lifelessly, you fall to the cold water.
