Katy speeds up

What does Ron want? Katy was very confused. He wanted to see her urgently so it must be something serious. Katy decided to take a short cut through a little used lane to get to Ron?s house. She put her foot down and sped through the lane, 30, 40, 50, 60 she giggled she felt like a rally driver as she weaved along whilst still keeping her eyes peeled in case of the unlikely event of a car coming the other way. As she passed the entrance to Buxley Farm, a mere mile from Ron and Leanne?s house she glanced in her mirror to see a Police car pull out and flash the lights at her. Katy groaned and immediately applied the brakes, what are the chances of a police car on this remote lane she thought. Even without checking the digital speedometer on her dashboard she knew she would be past the limit for that road. She pulled over and waited for the officer, thoughts raced through her head, what should she do? Act all sweet and innocent and hope she gets a ticking off and then sent on her way or allow the anger that was building up inside her to take over, why don?t the police concentrate on real criminals and not people in a rush on a little used rural lane? This was the question that was eating away at her. She wound down her window as the officer approached.
