Kathy, your best friend in the whole school.

I turned around. It was Kathy, a friend I had met in study hall last year, and since then, one of my best. Kathy was about a year younger than me, tall, thin but athletic, maybe slightly plain looking, with wispy light brown straight hair. She was captain of the girls cross country team, and thus was expectedly somewhat of a tomboy, widely considered just one of the guys. Today she wore a simple yellow and white tank top, and a grey skirt with white high tops, just the sort of comfortable, low-maintenance outfit she almost always wore to school on days she didn't have practice."Kay?" I said, calling her by her nickname. "I heard about your illness, so… are you like okay, dude?" She asked.

Suddenly realizing that this was one of my best friends I was talking to, I blushed and attempted to cover myself. She frowned slightly at this. "Hey, come on now. Don't do that! It's me! You let all these other people see you naked, then you cover up for me. Besides, it's nothing I haven't seen before," she said with a smirk. She wasn't referring to anything erotic, she was referring to a time that I had been over at her house and she had accidentally walked in on me when I was in the bathroom. Generally she had brought this up as a sort of good-natured way of embarrassing me, but this time her intent was clearly one of friendly reassurance.

She took her hand to mine and I allowed her to gently pull it away from my crotch. She gazed at it for a moment. "Looks just fine to me. Maybe a little small," she said with a grin.

I laughed at her ribbing despite myself. "You jerk," I said to her over my own giggle. "Well, let me know if you need anything anyway, pal. Come on, we?re going to be late for--?
