Kathryn looked over at Amber as she watched her crew members, and noticed the look in her friend's eyes as she did so. Kathryn smiled at Amber as she realized that Amber had finally found someone to love, truly love as well. And just like most of those gathered at the tables it wasn't exactly 'in the norm.'

The reception dinner continued with more toasts and merry laughter from the tables. Some of the topics Gary had passed over as "neither here nor there" were being explored in more explicit and graphic terms. Kathryn looked over the room and someone caught her eye and gave her a meaningful look. A little later, she saw they had left. Kathryn finished her drink, declined a a refill, and rose from her place. Excusing herself with a kiss to her co-spouses, she slipped away from the dining cabin.
