Kasumi and Chakwas

"Our next competitors are Kasumi -"

"Oh, yeah. She is here, isn't she?" Jack asked absentmindedly as the thief in question reappeared dressed in only her cloak.

"Surprised that it took you all this long to remember I was here." Kasumi said with a laugh. "I'm actually quite curious about who I'm up against, anyway. Could be fun."

"As I was saying, the next competitors are Kasumi and Dr. Chakwas." EDI replied.

"Okay, I heard of Random Number Generators, but..." Jack muttered to Miranda, the dark haired woman nodding in agreement.

Kasumi blinked for a moment as she turned to the oldest human woman in the room... Before falling to the floor in a fit of laughter. "Y-you can't be serious!"

"Is there something funny, Ms. Goto?" Karin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, nothing. It's just..." Kasumi giggled as she sat up, "I was kinda expecting someone who I wouldn't have to hold back against. I mean, no offense, Grandma, but I don't wanna send you to the ER for a broken hip."

"Really now?" Karin asked, narrowing her eyes with a frown.

"Uh, Kasumi?" Jane began, "I don't think it's a good idea to taunt Chakwas like that."

"Maybe your right, Shepard. After all, a woman her age might've developed high blood pressure." Kasumi laughed again.

"No, Jane's right, Kasumi." Liara stated, "I went over Karin's files, and she has about ten years of -"

"Medical experience, I know." Kasumi chuckled as she got into position, Karin doing the same. "Don't worry. I'll go easy on the old lady."

"But -"

"If she wants to learn this lesson the hard way, Dr. T'Soni, who am I to deny her that?" Karin asked Liara as she glared the laughing thief.

"Ready... Set... Begin!" Samara called out.

Kasumi bolted towards the older woman... Who merely sidestepped the thief and quickly applied pressure to points in Kasumi's shoulders, making them go limp.

"W-what?" Kasumi asked in shock before Karin did the exact same to the back of Kasumi's legs, flooring her. Before the thief could even ask what happened, Chakwas had roped both Kasumi's arms and legs behind her just as she felt feeling come back to her extremities.

Jack whistled. "And she was stuck in the fucking Med bay throughout the war?!"

"To be fair, I don't think those moves, while impressive, would have worked on The Reapers." Tali commented.

Kasumi looked up at Karin, the older woman kneeling down to look at her. "How did -"

"Word of advice, Ms. Goto." Karin interrupted, "If you're going to go easy on 'an old lady', make sure of two things: One, that she doesn't know human anatomy and weak points like the back of her hand. And two, that she never went through combat training before realizing that the battlefield wasn't nearly as romanticized as she thought it was."

"We tried to warn you." Jane said apologetically to the stunned Kasumi. Looking over to EDI, she asked, "Okay, EDI, which pair is next?
