Just a nice day

You and Svetlana spend the day together as planned, first stopping for coffee at a hip cafe before hitting the shops. You pick up a few electronics and luxury items for yourself at the beginning, but soon it turns into a shopping trip for Svetlana as she shops for designer clothes and you're happy to play the part of the dutiful boyfriend carrying her bags. She's still cold towards you, but as the day progresses, she makes the occasional small talk and even models some of the clothes for you to get your opinion. Of course, they all look good on her. As long as it doesn't hide her curves, there isn't a single stitch of clothing in the world that make her look bad. More than once, the thought of joining her in the dressing room pops into your mind, but you constantly reject the notion, deciding to be patient and hope it pays off.

After the shopping, you manage to get tickets to the hottest broadway show in town. Although you and Svetlana are underdressed for the show, nobody cares, and in fact, all eyes are on Svetlana as you enter with her in tow. Men's eyes bulge at the sight of Svetlana and her skimpy outfit while being envious of you, and women's eyes look on in disgust and jealousy while more than a few eye you with desire, guessing you must be filthy rich for a woman like Svetlana to be with you.

It turns out Svetlana has been wanting to see this show for a while now, and by the time it ends, she's significantly cheerier with a skip in her step. She even smiles at you as you leave the theater together holding hands. During dinner at a french bistro, Svetlana finally opens up about her history with Nigel, telling you about how she grew up poor in Russia and wanted to become a model for the glamour and to help her family with money.

Of course, it wasn't easy for her and while she worked hard on her body and image, the costs associated with the pursuit of her dream, such as agent fees, headshots and expenses for auditions made it difficult. Her lucky break came when she was working as a waitress in a hotel restaurant in Moscow, where Nigel was staying. After his business associate had left, Nigel had stayed at the restaurant until closing, chatting up the pretty waitress and getting to know her. She had shown him her social media feed with all her photos, while he helped her close up the restaurant. Nothing else happened that night and Svetlana thought it would be their only encounter, until she received a check from him 2 weeks later for half a million dollars, with a note to look him up if she wanted to. She used the money to invest in new clothes and advertising, and soon garnered millions of followers on social media thanks to being able to devote all her time to it without having to worry about paying the bills.

After that, she moved to the USA to find Nigel, instantly said yes when he proposed the contract, and has since made a small fortune from sponsorships on her social media account, which she sends almost the entire amount back to her family in Russia. After her story, you now understand why Svetlana feels so deeply loyal to the deceased Nigel.

At the end of dinner, you and Svetlana are back in the car.

"Good evening sir. Where to?" the driver asks.
