Does he shower, or create more rules?
Just Showering
Josh decided to not make any more rule changes for now, just headed into the bathroom.
He noticed that on the counter, there was a drying rack -- a miniature version of what might have been in the kitchen -- that held a couple of butt plugs, including the blue plastic one that Sara had put in moments ago. Curious, he leaned down to take a quick peek in the cabinet below, and right in front he found a big bottle of Kirkland brand Intimate Items Cleanser.
Standing back upright, he caught sight of himself in the mirror, and it hit him that of course his "no one is overweight or ugly" rule would have affected him. It didn't seem as obvious as the changes to Sara, but he thought his jawline was a bit more square, his nose slightly smaller, his irises a touch more vividly colored. His body hair seemed a bit more under control as well, and maybe his muscles were a tad more defined and his skin a shade more tanned?
By the time he was in the shower and caught himself wondering if the hair on his head felt any thicker, he finally had to tell himself, Stop worrying about it, or you'll drive yourself crazy.
He relaxed for a moment, but then had a new worry -- he'd left his phone in the bedroom, and although it had a password on it, one of Sara's fingerprints was programmed into it "for emergencies." Granted, there was only a small chance that she would have unlocked it, found the reality-altering app, and started using it. But what if she had?!
Josh practically leaped out of the shower, halfway wrapped a towel around himself, and burst out of the bathroom toward the bedroom.
Was his phone where he left it?
