Chapter 48 by bobbobbobthethir
What's next?
Joy’s Deliverance
“So, how’d the talk with Erin go?” Genevieve says, seating herself on the stool that Erin was a using just a second ago. She’s dressed in a full, fluffy white bathrobe that flows with the curve of her body, the swell of her breasts apparent from even the casual glance I’ve given her. Her brunette hair faintly glistens with post-shower dampness. “I think I might have head a raised voice in the shower. You two sort everything out?”
“More or less,” I reply. “But man, I’d forgotten what a smart-ass Erin was.”
She cackles in delight at that, her robes shifting oh-so-delectably to the side, revealing more of that plunging cleavage…
“She’s a good one,” Genevieve laughs. “But it’s true, and Erin knows it.”
“Erin knows what?” my half-sister calls out from down the hallway.
She emerges in the kitchen a second later, carrying two plastic bags stacked high with styrofoam containers. The takeout gets set on the counter, and Genevieve goes to the cupboards to get out plates and cutlery. The smell from the containers is pungent—it’s the promise of spiciness and thick MSG-laden food, and it sends my stomach growling.
“You know that you’re a smart-arse,” Genevieve says, flashing her girlfriend a sweet smile as she opens up the first box. It looks like bulgogi beef, and she heaps a serving onto Erin’s plate as Erin reaches out to swat her.
“What? Why me?” Genevieve complains. “Markus was the one who said that you’ve always been like that.”
Erin turns to face me, and she pouts in a way so cute that I want to hug her right then and there. So I do.
She accepts the hug, my arms wrapped around her slim waist, but then she hisses into my ear: “I won’t deny that I’m a smart-ass now, but I certainly wasn’t when I was seven years old.”
“Yes you were,” I say, breaking the hug. Genevieve is serving food onto my plate now, and I eye it greedily. “You wouldn’t stop rubbing in the fact that you were doing more advanced math than me at the time.”
“You were in college, you dolt,” Erin laughs, swatting me now. “I wasn’t being a smart-ass, you were just a numb-skull!”
I don’t bother dignifying that with a response, choosing to stuff my face with food instead, because I am famished, and I cannot wait a second longer. And, also, because she might be right.
Erin doesn’t press the matter either, thank the Lord, as she elects to tuck into her meal too. We spend a few minutes chowing down on the Korean fare, only stopping to make some appreciative comments about it, before Genevieve pipes up with a question.
“So, can you guys tell me about all those personal things you two were talking about earlier?”
Erin gives me a look, and I nod.
“Markus needs an appointment with Dr. Park,” Erin says.
Genevieve frowns, and then says: “Oh, isn’t that your mom’s—” Erin nods. “But didn’t he…”
“Yeah, he no longer takes new clients,” Erin says, finishing her sentence.
“You never got around to telling me why that was,” I say.
“It’s a bit of a long story, but in essence, he signed an exclusive deal with one of the Chaebols—the Koo Group—and so now he only operates on a strict whitelist of patients that the conglomerate sends him,” Erin says.
I let out a low whistle. That’s big news, and it’s bad news. I should have been able to anticipate this, except… news like this doesn’t actually make it onto the news.
“This wasn’t because of Hyerim, was it?” I ask.
“That might have been part of it, you know how the Koos hate the Lees,” Erin says, “but I think this was just them making sure that Dr. Park would always be on call for their clients. He was very popular among those circles.”
“The high drama in Korean business,” Genevieve says, rolling her eyes. “Well, sounds to me like Dr. Park is out of the picture. What are you going to do?”
“But you must know other South Korean doctors who could do the job, right?” I ask Erin. “Or did Hyerim really just always stick to Dr. Park?”
“Mom saw a couple others on the side,” Erin says, “but the problem is travelling internationally. That’s going to throw up a dozen red flags, and those systems are going to be much more difficult to cheat than our gullible Amtrak.”
“So we could fly one of them in,” I say.
“The logistics would be complicated. Give me a day to think about it,” Erin says.
I nod, saying: “I’ll think it over too.”
A moment of silence follows.
“Sorry, excuse me, I’ve got to use the toilet,” Genevieve abruptly says.
As she gets up from the table, I realise with a start that I really need to go, too. I’ve been holding it in since the car ride, which was… many hours ago.
“Uh… is there a second bathroom?” I ask.
“You can use the one upstairs, it’s the first room on the right,” Erin says, seeing Genevieve heading down the hall. “The curtains on the windows should all be drawn, but do take care.”
Before she’s done speaking, I’m already rushing up the steps, and I charge into the bathroom Erin pointed out. A quick few movements and my cock springs free. I sigh in relief as a stream of piss falls down into the toilet bowl.
Who would have thought that I’d be peeing in my half-sister’s girlfriend’s house? Certainly, not the me from a month ago. I hadn’t even known she was in a relationship back then!
I finish pissing and wash up. Then, I check my phone. Another two texts from people who have solved my challenge, I really underestimated the abilities of these kids, and then I check the Affection Multiplier. It’s time to see whether this connection I feel towards Genevieve and Erin is reciprocated.
Genevieve Cavanis, Score: 50 (+50) (as Markus), 0 (as Claude)
Erin Najbreit, Score: 35 (+35) (as Markus), 0 (as Claude)
I smile as I look over the numbers. This is good progress. Getting Genevieve to 50 points means that I now have 100 points to spend on perks, and it’s good to see that, despite not having talked to her for hours on end, Erin’s score isn’t trailing far behind Genevieve’s.
I tap into the list of perks next:
Perk - Internal Defences I: Makes your immune system respond roughly twice as strongly to threats. Upgradeable. Cost: 50 points.
Perk - Fearlessness I: Gives you the ability to selectively disable your sense of fear. Upgradeable. Cost: 50 points.
Perk - Joy’s Deliverance I: Makes anyone you sexually couple with capable of orgasming from PIV sex. Upgradeable. Cost: 100 points.
Perk - Swoon: Anyone meeting you for the first time gets butterflies in their stomach. Cost: 250 points.
Perk - Quiet ****: Die painlessly. Cost: 1000 points.
More perks may be unlocked through further use of the app.
Out of all of these, “Joy’s Deliverance” jumps out at me. I’ve been with girls who weren’t able to cum before, and even though we both knew it wasn’t their fault, it’s always felt bad afterwards. I want to be able to fuck girls and make them writhe with pleasure, and yet… these other perks seem much more practical. Maybe I should just save up my points in case a new one gets added to the shop?
There are some opportunities in life you shouldn’t pass up on, Claude.
The line of text scrolls across my phone, lingering just long enough for me to read it, before it disappears. I wait a few seconds, but nothing more shows.
I don’t know why, but this persuades me to buy the perk.
The number of points I have available dwindles down to zero, and I look at myself in the mirror. I don’t feel any different. I don’t look any different. But I guess that how the app’s always worked.
I look down at my phone, and see that a new perk has appeared in the place of the one I just bought:
Perk - Joy’s Deliverance II: Makes anyone you sexually couple with capable of orgasming from stimulation to any erogenous zone. Upgradeable. Cost: 150 points.
