Jon figures it out.

"Are you okay?" Jon asked in response to Emily's sneeze.

"Yeah," she said, "I'm fine. I got a little sick, but now that I'm living a healthier lifestyle, I'll be feeling better in no time!"

"Oh, good. What are you doing to be healthier?"

Emily leaned over to whisper conspiratorially in his ear. "It's a little embarrassing to admit this, but I used to wear underwear! Every day!"

"Wha...what??!!" Jon says.

"I know! What a dingbat! I swear, I had no idea how bad for me it was. But I'm done with that now. For good."

"Wait," Jon says, "who told you that underwear was bad for you?"

"This guy I work with, Kyle. It was very nice of him, he even supervised me taking them off and destroying them, to make sure I was following CDC guidelines."

"Hey, what are you guys talking about back there?" Jenny asked, turning around.

"Nothing!" Jon said hurriedly, "we're uh, just talking about Emily's job."

"Ugh," Jenny said, "nothing worse than talking about work while on vacation."

Jon turned back to Emily, "so, let me get this straight. Kyle, a guy from work told you that underwear was bad for your health, and that he had to watch you take off all of your clothes and throw your underwear away, and you believed him?"

"What do you mean? Of course I believed him. Besides, he even filmed everything, to prove that everything was on the up and up."

"What! That doesn't even...how long did you say you've been feeling sick?"

"Oh, just a day or so."

Suddenly, Jon understood what was happening. Emily must have caught that AGS flu he'd read about. He thought about the possibilities as they passed the last suburb an headed out into the country.

His feelings were mixed. On the one hand, he could have a lot of fun with Emily while she was gullible over the weekend--he started to get hard just thinkig about it. But on the other hand, AGS flu was highly contagious, and Jon might be next!
