Jax and Noob appear

As you start to turn with the crown in hand, you hear a voice "I'm gonna need you to hand that over girl..." as you see Jax, flanked by Noob Saibot blocking your exit. Before either of you can speak however, Noob pushes Jax aside "She is mine" he says, without even looking at him. As Sareena and Noob had a brief relationship in the older games, you decide to get into character again and try to argue with him for a moment. Despite you trying to act emotional and offering to try and save him after Kronika is beaten, you aren't surprised when he spits only venom at you and says that he is better this way.

As you know that Cetrion isn't far behind them, you raise the crown to your head and despite the migraine like pain it gives you, you feel it's power flowing through Sareena's body as her irises turn red and a red mist swirls around you. As you let you shoulders and head slump down and bit, Noob tries to attack you by sending and shadow minion under you and it tries to pull you down. You decide to let this happen as you're pulled under for a moment before blasting back out, emerging in your full demonic form.

Before he can attack again, you blast them both with a burst of red energy which knocks Noob out and leaves Jax subdued on the floor. As you don't want to kill Jax, you remove the crown and revert back to normal, offering him to join you. Able to recite Fujin's speech rather well with a few made up names and modifications, it appears to work as he grabs your outstretched arm and rises to his feet. He starts to question you about why you would want the crown in the first place, causing you to look away and tense up.

If you say Shang Tsung sent you, you know that Jax will likely change his mind and attack. Before you can answer however, a voice behind you says "Well done, my servant" as Shang Tsung and Fujin appear behind you. Jax's expression immediately turns to a frown as you toss the crown to Fujin with a look of guilt on your face. "What did you do to her, Shang Tsung" he demands to which he repiles "Nothing Jax, she offered her service to me in return for freedom from the NetherRealm"

As Jax's anger rises, you get in his way and say that they can fight later, as Cetrion is fighting Sindel and Nightwolf up above. From this point on, events play out mostly as they do in game with you being mostly side lined as the fights at the Fire Gardens take place, and you share a brief moment with Sub-Zero, promising that you'll find a way to save his brother before leaving with the first ship to Kronika's Isle. Knowing the ill-fate of the second ship you look back at them with a small sense of sadness with the knowledge that Shao Kahn will kill them all soon enough.

As you ship nears the Isle you had a thought, you could try to possess Kronika and beat Shang Tsung yourself instead of Fire god Liu Kang, after all she is just as capable of resetting time as he is about to be...

This would mean abandoning Sareena though as probably lead to her **** at Shang's or Shao Kahn's hands...
