Jasper the replacement bride

"It turns out the guy was serious. He arranged for a wedding within a couple days." Jacqueline shook her head before walking over to the fridge, opening it up and taking out a bottle. "If Jasmine isn't there at seven tonight, he will tell the police about her debt. She'll go to jail...and I can't stand here and do nothing about it." Jacqueline took off her hat and set it down as she began to pour the contents of the bottle into glasses.

"...Jackie was the only friend I could turn to..." Jasmine said somberly.

Jasper felt sorry for her. This was ****...

"Well...I'll do whatever I can to help." Jasper tried to reassure her with a smile.

"Good to hear."

Jacqueline held out a cup for him.

"Then how about I tell you the plan?"

Jasper sat down in a chair and took a drink from the cup.

"Alright. Let's..."

It only took a couple seconds for him to realise something was wrong. His head became hazy and his vision blurry, like he was underwater.

He could barely hear her as Jacqueline took a sip of her own, non-spiked drink.

"I call it... Operation Decoy..."

Jacqueline clinked her cup to Jasmine's. Before swiftly drinking the rest of the shot.

"I think it'll still work. He is about your size and his skin tone is near identical."

"I do feel sorry for him..." Jasmine mused, "but I don't want ANYTHING to do with that man."

"Right..." Jacqueline rubbed her hands together. "Let's get started."
