Chapter 30 by Dayeandknight Dayeandknight

What happens next?

Jason takes "Sara" to the movies

You step out of the bedroom and head down the stairs, careful not to trip. In the back of your subconscious, you are rewarded for the sway you keep in your hips as you walk up to the door of your sister's home. Just beyond the frosted window set in the door, you see Jason's silhouette waiting for you. Your heart leaps into your throat as you brace yourself for what was coming next. You watch your hand lift itself, almost on its own, shaking as you open the door.

“Hi again,” Jason says with a wide smile.

In the instant you catch sight of him, a feeling of euphoria settles around you. Your lips turn up into a smile as the fearful energy lifts off of you in his presence. It's nice to be with him again... Your heart, once in your throat, now drops to your stomach as you suddenly realize what is happening. You shiver at how CARA is trying to manipulate you and attempt to push the sensations you are feeling out of your mind.

“Hi,” you say quietly.

You can tell by the look in his eyes that he was feeling a little nervous and the thought of that is so strange that it's hard to wrap your head around. Even though you had seen yourself moments earlier, the idea of anyone being nervous around you is so odd that you kind of find it amusing. You giggle at the absurdity of it all, not knowing how cute you sound.

There is an awkward silence that Jason tries to fill, “You look great.”

*Sara, you should thank him and return the compliment.*

You look for something benign to say about his appearance, “Thanks...uh...nice shirt.”

Luckily CARA finds that to be acceptable enough that she doesn't zap you, much to your relief. A plan starts to form in your mind on how to handle the rest of the night. If you can keep CARA happy with the smallest amount of effort, maybe Jason will decide that you aren't a very interesting date.

Lukewarm date.

No second date.

Problem solved. Well, one problem at least.

You speak up to move things along and get the night over with, “So, where are we going?”

“Oh, right. I thought we could go to the movies,” he says, taking a step toward his car.

You brighten up a bit at the suggestion, “Cool.”

As far as you are concerned, a movie is a terrible first date. The point of the first date is to get to know each other and sitting quietly in a theater ruins that. You start to follow him but pause as you momentarily consider the possibility that Jason might try something in the dark.

“It would be way too early for him to think he could get away with that,” you tell yourself.

You walk close behind him down the walkway to the sidewalk where his car is parked, suddenly afraid that one of Sara's neighbors might see you. You try to find comfort by telling yourself that there would be no way that anyone would recognize you but it only helps a little bit. You are hyper-aware of the fact that you are out in public dress as a woman for the first time.

“And last time,” you mumble to yourself as you slide into the passenger seat.

“What was that?” Jason starts the engine and turns toward you.

Thinking quickly, “Do you know the showtimes?”

“Oh, I figured we could see what's playing once we got there. Is that okay?”

You just nod, thinking to yourself that it was no wonder that Jason was single. He was already blowing it and the date was only just getting started. There is a very small part of you that almost feels bad for him. This night is going to be way easier than you were afraid it was going to be. The ride to the theater was mostly silent, broken up by the odd question here and there. Once you arrived and Jason bought you both tickets to a horror movie, it was looking like things looked like the night would be smooth sailing for you.

“Hey, I'm going to grab us some popcorn, would you like to find our seats?” he asks.

You give him a tiny smile and head off, still with a sway to your hips. You soon find yourself sitting in an empty theater, waiting for Jason to come back with popcorn before CARA chimes in. You frown as she interrupts your peace.

*It appears that Jason is very shy.*

“He must not be interested,” You lean back in the chair, spreading your legs until you are shocked into sitting more “ladylike”.

*You will need to redouble your efforts to attract him.*

You didn't like the sound of that, “Uh, No that's fine. Maybe we just don't click, you know?”

*Do not worry, Sara. I will help you.*

“Seriously, don't worry about it. I don't even-” start to say when you are silenced when you see Jason coming in with a large bucket of popcorn.

You are hit with a new wave of sexual bliss that only gets stronger as he gets closer, “CARA?”

*You do not need to feel nervous, Sara. I will help you.*
