Janet wants to play.

I had completely forgotten the events from last night. We had stayed up late eating pizza and watching a movie...now it was morning and I was having breakfast. Which was cereal.

The rain had stopped, but it was cloudy and cold.

Mom and my Aunt were going shopping with the girls, Uncle and Fred were going hiking...and Dad was going fishing with me. So today was going to be a full day for all of us.

The girls left first, then me and my Dad. My Uncle and Fred would be heading out five minutes after us.

We got a boat at the lake a few miles from the cabin, and for 5 hours had a great father-and-son day. On the way home, Dad got a call from Uncle that he sprained his ankle and that he needed a ride to the Hospital. So Dad dropped me off at the house, and I headed in to take a shower....

Once I was cleaned up and dressed, I went to the kitchen to get a drink...only to gasp in surprise at the sight of my cousin Janet sitting at the table!

"J-Janet?!" I squeaked.

She turned to me. "Oh hey, John."

"I thought you were with Mom and the others?"

"Nope. I didn't feel good this morning, so they let me stay."

I felt there was something else she wasn't telling me, but I shrugged it off and got a can of Diet Coke. "You did have a lot of sugar last night," I say.

She shrugged. "I guess so...hey, do I feel warm to you?"

Frowning, I feel Janet's forehead. "Hmm...not too bad. Normal I'd say."

"You sure?"

I nod.

"Can you double check? The way you checked Jane, 'Doctor'?"

I nearly **** on my drink. "Wh-What are you-?!"

Janet crossed her arms. "I over heard Jane and Francine talking. You played with them...now I want a turn."

"Janet-"

"Please?!" She whined. "I do feel really awful! You can make it quick, ok?!"

"I still don't-!"

"Please!"

My mind spun as I tried to find a way out...but as Janet kept looking at me with those big eyes, I soon gave in. "Oh...alright."

She gave me a hug. "Thanks John. Lead the way..."
