Janet fights the villains

Suddenly Cutlass lunged forward, swinging her energy blade at Janet. Janet screamed and jumped back, barely avoiding the blade. She could survive a normal sword strike, but had no idea with this energy blade.

As she landed Recoil fired at her. These two were a well oiled machine. The blast hit Janet right in the stomach, doubling her over. That really hurt! While Janet was catching her breath Cutlass slashed at her. Janet was too slow on this one, and it grazed her arm, sending a burning wave of pain down it.

Janet, fearful and in pain, lashed out. She swung wildly at Cutlass, who backflipped gracefully away. Then Janet charged at Recoil, who was cocking her gun. Janet backhanded Recoil, knocking her ten feet into a car with shocking ****.

"Recoil!" Cutlass screamed. She lunged at Janet, her blade whirling. Janet crossed her arms, taking the painful blows on her forearms to protect herself. Then she managed to snake a hand out, catching Cutlass by the throat and lifting her off the ground.

Janet was battered, sore and angry, but it looked like she had her enemies on the ropes...
