James wasn't aware of the stranger's presence...

The stranger knocked the old man out with a steel pipe, gagged and tied him to one of the colums in the area. Looking at the unconsious woman, the man decided to pick her up and carry her on his shoulder to her room upstairs. Once there he locked the door behind him and laid Lara on the bed and tied both her hands and feet roughly to it, he then stepped back and took a second to admire his handiwork. After that, he exited the room.

Lara woke up a few minutes later rather confused over being in the situation she was in, she started to yank on the ropes trying to get free of her bondage with no success.

She then stopped to calm down and think her way out of there when something caught her attention.
