James Urban, Before Outbreak

My name is James Urban and I am around twenty years old. Recently my life has fallen apart. First my longtime girlfriend broke up with me over text, my best friend is in a coma after a car accident, my father passed away, and then my mother got put into a mental hospital after she went crazy and still believes Dad is here. After all that I just wanted to leave my old life so I signed up for a volunteer thing for the government.

It has been three days since I signed and they are gonna finally test this serum thing. "Tell me if it hurts." The doctor told me.

"I ain't scared of needles doc." I told him. The doctor shook his head before stabbing with the needle. "Oh! Ain't that a bit rough!?" I asked him.

The doctor put a finger to his mouth and shushed me. Suddenly I started to feel weird...
