It worked, but some things shouldn't be changed

Indeed in the room, the older women were now younger, most people were also thinners. That book was incredible !

But something started to feel off. some parts of the decorum changed, it was too subtle to know what exactly changed, but it changed enough to be noticeable. Checking out around, some people seemed really thin, even undernourished. There was also no kids around anymore. Something was wrong, really wrong.

John saw then the prices of the coffee, they were three times higher. It was soon time to go to the job, so he took the book with him and went out for work. He drove there without problem and parked his car in the parking lot before heading to the office.

In the hall, there was a large picture of the CEO, hanging behind the reception desk. It was definitively not there before. And more importantly, the man had taken some weight ! Not only that, but at the reception there was a man, not a woman behind the desk.

John took the elevator to his floor and saw that there weren't any women in the office anywhere... No, that wasn't true, there was two, topless bringing coffee to John's colleague.

Before starting his job, John looked on the Internet for explanation. And he found out that, women never fought for their right. And so, never got any position of power, leading to old restrictive law, like the ban of underwear, to stay. Also, since humans needed a lot of food to grow fat, being overweight was a demonstration of wealthiness. Because of that, rich people were eating way too much, leaving the less fortunate with the scraps and increasing the global value of food. And finally, because women were fertile longer, a law had to pass to slow down the birth rate before reaching a critical point in population.

Things were more complicated than expected and the impact of the book was way more wide than John could have imagined.

What did he do ? Make new rules to compensate ? Take out some of the old rules he made ? Leave it like that ?
