What will you equip your army with?
It will depend on rank and specailty...
You’re always taught that for the right situation you need the right tool. So, you might as well specialize the grades into certain categories to ensure maximum effectiveness.
With that in mind, you began to design your minions most basic outfit and decided to keep it in line with your space suits design.
The suit itself features what appears to be an orange and yellow armored suit, made of some sort of latex or plastic material. The neck has a large, gold collar with a blue gem on the neck. On the shoulders lay thick blue and yellow shoulder pads. The rest of the body consists of your hard light hologram belt and its round belt buckle, blue gloves with yellow trimming and large brown boots. Finally, you had a domed **** field that acted as an impromptu helmet and hid the entirety of your face from view and was so opaque that the field only allowed your radioactive green eyes the shine out from underneath it. This combined with your toned and muscular body and your spacesuit give you an ethereal look of intimidation.
Using your suit as a basis to build off of you begin to design the basic spacesuit that all the alien short stacks would use when they first awoke from the cloning vats.
The outfits will consist of a tight formfitting silver bodysuit, white boots, and gloves that have a grey trimming to them, a large, silver collar with a single red button on the side, and finally a simple black utility belt with a round grey buckle. This outfit is simple, utilitarian, and can be upgraded over time into the five basic classes that the greys can choose to become. Over time and with experience these classes can become one of two subclasses that exist for each basic class of minion.
Those classes and their subclasses are as follows
1. ****: The **** classes main purpose is to keep the momentum in a fight and allow for the squad to either Blast or burn through any obstacle that gets in their way. All **** class minions will be equipped with a basic light jet pack that will allow them to jump onto rooftops or traverse normally impossible distances. The **** class has two main subclasses though subclasses are as listed down below.
a. Striker: This subclass is designed to focus on hand-to-hand and close quarters combat. The suit of the minion will have new armored plates added on, and they will be given a heavy energy shield and a specialized energy baton. The heavy energy shield can take heavy caliber fire with ease and can create repulse waves to push enemies back. The energy baton is a specialized riot baton that uses a specialized gravity field to amplify the attacks of the user. However, this is not the only setting of the energy baton as it can channel electricity for non-lethal takedowns.
b. Jump pack trooper: This subclass is designed for quick aerial insertions for rapid response in certain situations. As a result, the jet packs in this subclass have been up to a degree to allow for short-term flight. Also, all jump pack troopers will have their durability enhancements and their armor upgraded to allow better survivability in the field. Also, they will be given a secondary weapon to complement their primary weapon.
2. Support: the main purpose of the support class is to keep the squad stable in a fight and to keep them fighting. All support class minions will be given a drone to aid them in the field and will have their utility belts expanded to harness is to hold more equipment on the field. The standard support class will come equipped with an emergency medical spray that will administer a specialized nanospray that will accelerate the healing of the patient in question. This spray is contained in a single vial of which each supported class will carry five vials into the field with them. Each vial contains about three uses before needing to be replaced with a new vial. In addition to the drone and the medical spray, the support class will carry several smoke bombs that will provide cover if needed. This more classes to subclasses are as follows down below.
a. Medic: the medic subclass is focused on keeping the entire squad alive until return back to base. As a result, the drone of the medic subclass has had its hacking features removed to make room for a healing beam that will accelerate the healing of your minions out in the field. Additionally, the medic class will carry five extra vials and have their smoke grenades swapped out for specialized stimulant grenades that when thrown will release a cloud of specialized stimulants to increase the strength, speed, and durability of your minions out in the field.
b. Hacker: the hacker subclass is focused on the more technical aspects of a fight and can hack into even the most secure data facilities without a trace. However, as a result of this specialization, the hacker subclass will have its drone retrofitted to be a combat drone to provide the hacker cover fire and to assist the team out in the field. Secondly, the medical spray that the hacker would have originally carried has been replaced with a special data knife that when stabbed into a computer or security door will **** the door to open immediately. Also, the smoke grenades that the hacker carries will now be replaced with specialized EMP grenades and will now also carry flashbangs for quick escapes.
3. Heavy: the heavy class was created for the sole purpose in mind to become walking tanks on the battlefield. Those that fall into this class are given specialized power armor that stands at a tall height of 8 feet and are completely covered head to toll and armor with no visible visor present. Instead, the grey pilot will see everything through a visual interface within the suit. The suit itself is a sight to behold on its own as it has no visible head and looks like a massive headless torso of a deep-sea divers suit. The suit is in itself intimidating with its big clunky arms and legs. The hands of the machine easily look like you could pick someone up by their skull and crush it as if it was a grape. However, the true utility of the suit is the ability to pick up and use heavy weaponry, as the Heavy will be equipped with a standard high caliber Minigun though this minigun is far from normal as it is a hidden feature of a grenade launcher built into the center barrel of the weapon. Honestly, you feel sorry for any poor full that’s brave enough or more likely dumb enough to get in the way of this Hulking monstrosity of metal — the heavy class as two distinct subtypes for the minions that grow to the point of specialization.
a. Juggernaut: the juggernaut subclasses designed for the sole goal of keeping your troops moving on the field no matter how bad it gets. To complement this, the juggernaut has had an advanced jet pack attached to their power armor that will allow them sustained flight and will allow them bursts of agility to punch through enemy lines. To complement this, the juggernaut has a specialized gravity gauntlet added to its arsenal. This gravity gauntlet can punch through practically anything and can even cause small earthquakes if slammed into the ground. Along with the gravity gauntlet, a new specialized burst feature has been added on to the power armor. This burst feature can create a massive shock wave to push back enemy combatants and even stunned them for some time.
b. Iron Maiden: the Iron Maiden subclass was designed with one goal in mind, to hold its ground against anything that came against it. To succeed in this endeavor the Iron Maiden’s power armor has had it's armored doubled and has had specialized **** field installed to reinforce the bulwark of the armor. Also, the minigun on this subclass has been replaced with that of a specialized grenade launcher that can launch a variety of different grenades at the enemy on command. This combined with a shoulder-mounted artillery cannon and the wrist-mounted chemical thrower/vortex shield makes it a next to impossible threat to defeat in a head-on confrontation.
4. Sniper: one shot one kill. That’s the model the sniper class and its main goal. However, it’s not it’s the only goal of the sniper class has many special agent traits mixed into its training regime as all snipers are accomplished thieves and intelligence gathering agents. All snipers are equipped with a high-powered sniper rifle and a small pistol for emergencies. This combined with the special specter armor allows the sniper to not only cloak but also reach almost impossible areas quickly with its fiber cord grappling hook.
a. Phantom: the Phantom subclass is the ultimate assassin for your army. Phantoms are exactly as the name implies as their cloak tech has been enhanced with phase tech to allow the phantoms to phase through walls and reach normally impossible areas. This combined with the specialized hollow cloak that allows phantoms to assume the form of a local makes them an unpredictable and terrifying enemy to face.
b. Shinobi: shinobis are the ultimate intelligence gathering agents. Shinobis are equipped with a specialized cloak that completely silences their movement and is given a piece of technology you call the shadow walk. It essentially allows the Shinobi to walk through shadows and reach a target through the very darkness itself. Shinobis have traded away their sniper rifles for specialized nano molecule sword that can cut through anything like butter, though this is not the only thing they are given as Shinobi’s argument a variety of different grenades, tools, and poisons to complete their mission.
5. Psi operative: this classification is given to those you minions that embrace their second potential to the next level. All psi operatives are gifted with a new specialized suit that will allow them to channel their abilities easier, and this is not the only thing that they are gifted as they are also gifted with a great variety of new abilities. These abilities range from simple to telekinesis to the ability to scan the surface thoughts of the enemy’s nearby (which can effectively make them lie detectors). However, these operatives pale in comparison to their two advanced subclasses.
a. Monk: the monk's subclass is focused on the more physical aspects of a psychic operatives abilities. As a result, the monks don’t use weapons any more, and instead, they are the weapon now as monks can create anything from their telekinetic energy, whether it be shields, swords, or even the ability to cast a fireball at someone. The monk is something that should be feared on the battlefield even if they wear a combat gi over their spacesuit.
b. Enlightened: the enlightened subclass is focused on the matters of the ethereal and reach out with their minds to do some pretty unbelievable things. Though the enlightened are no longer active combatants on the field, they are still very dangerous in their own right. As an enlightened can create psychotic delusions within the enemy’s minds and create better synergy between the armies on the field. Though this is not the limit to the power as if you gain enough enlightened in one place you can even create massive natural disasters on command. Reflecting their choice of removing themselves from combat the enlightened no longer were spacesuits and instead wear comfortable purple robes that are trimmed with silver. Enlightened no longer need to walk as they can hover with their minds
with these new classifications set you now moved to activate the forge to create the new necessary equipment for your clone army of short stacks. As the forge sets to work on creating the new outfits and weapons you realize that it’s perhaps best that you hand out weapons dependent on the level of skill and experience of the minion. As a result, you create a new ranking system that will determine the level of technology that the minion has access to.
Grunt: grunts are freshly cloned minions with no experience on the battlefield. As a result, they will only be given access to level I technology.
Private: privates are grunts that have gone through their first mission and have come back alive. Though they will not be given any extra training or advancement in technology, this rank will help differentiate those that have already passed through their first trials.
Sergeant: The Sergeant rank is given to a private set of proven themselves through a minimum of three missions and as a result have the necessary experience to begin leadership training. Those of this rank can lead small squads of four out into the field and have access to level II technology.
Lieutenant: the rank of lieutenant is given to a Sergeant that has gone through a minimum of at least six missions and has shown promise in the field. As a result, those that reach this rank undergo even more training and can lead small squads of five out into the field and can even head up their own private missions. Once a minion reaches this rank, it will be given their first set of shoulder pads that will contain only one stripe signaling their rank to the rest of the minions.
Captain: the rank of captain is given to a lieutenant that has proven itself to a minimum of at least nine missions. Those that reach this rank are given another stripe on their shoulder pads and are given even greater training in tactics and warfare. Those that reach this rank are given access to level III technology.
Major: the rank of major is given to a captain that is proven itself on a minimum of at least 12 missions. Majors are allowed access to the war room and will go through even greater training allowing them to lead squads of 6 out into the field. They are also given another stripe on their shoulder pads to signal their rise in rank.
Colonel: the rank of colonel was given to a major that has gone on at least 15 different missions. Those that achieve this rank have their stripes removed and instead have a single bar that goes across their shoulder pad. Colonels had the most experience in the field and thus have access to level IV technology the highest level available.
Commander: the rank of commander is given to a minion of your choosing, this minion will be your second-in-command when it comes to handling the other minions. They will also receive shoulder pads but instead will have two bars going across the shoulder pads to signal their rank. The commander will also have access to level IV technology and will work with you up in the command center.
With the ranks done you begin to list out the basics of the different levels of technology and what they mean.
Level I: basic ballistic weaponry
level II: magnetically accelerated weaponry
level III: laser weaponry
level IV: plasma-based weaponry
As you look at The very basics of your restrictions on technology you have set, you understand that in time you’re going to have to update this list depending on what technology come across or depending on what situation you have to deal with.
With the ranks, specializations, and technology levels listed and made you turn your attention back to your minions and see that their almost done cooking in their vats. However, before they can be released from their vats, you need to modify one of their number to be your commander.
