Chapter 15 by CrocodileHAZARD CrocodileHAZARD

How do you want to attack him?

It will cost you some brusing, but you'll prove your plan is still viable.

Of all the abilities granted from Slade's genetic tampering, one of the few powers under your command that will likely never surpass its original owner is the ability to copy yourself. An ability gained from the H.I.V.E. Five's Billy Numerous.

An exact count has never been given, but he has proven to easily create and manage close to a hundred clones at any given time. Unfortunately, in the few situations he's been pressed into a situation where his numbers have been stretched thin, an exact number has been almost impossible to pin down as far as limitations are concerned.

As a result, it tends to be an unfair comparison when you apply the same powers. It took you YEARS to learn how to make a single, fully functioning clone without risk of maiming or killing you in the process. As of this moment, you could not manage more than yourself and 4 clones. It doesn't exactly paint you in the same league as Numerous. Still, being able to copy yourself is very rarely a disadvantage, even if the clone's injuries carry over to you upon dismissing them.

Honestly, that part alone is what makes this plan suck. But this is a necessary step to proving to your father that your project is still viable. If the current plan is "too slow", then you can at least jumpstart it by a couple months.

As it stands, there are about 5 Phases to your strategy against Robin. Phase 1, you have three clones planted in a semi-public location. One will mark your debut as Brimstone, one will take up your civilian persona, and another will just be another face in the crowd.

Phase 2, using what minor magic you know, its still within your abilities to lace the area in question with a few minor illusions. It will not affect many people, but your only target is Robin. The illusion in question will make it so that the only one Robin notices is your civilian and Brimstone clones. But your illusion will not stop there: you'll be masking your civilian copy as your villainous persona.

Phase 3, you'll **** Robin into a confrontation with your civilian clone. To him, he'll be encountering a new Super Villain. But to truly craft the scene, everyone else in the area needs to believe that he is addressing your civilian identity.

Phase 4, your least favorite phase, has Robin physically attacking your non-combatant clone. While this is going on, your third clone will document the occurrance with a cell phone to record the event in progress. Once Robin has roughed up an 'innocent bystander' considerably, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to switch his focus to the Brimstone clone. For that, you need to draw him out of the public eye: no one can know that 'Brimstone' was present at the scene.

And lastly, Phase 5. You use any observations made during the last phase to account for any new moves or strategies on his part and defeat him in combat. Once he falls, you'll bring him before his greatest enemy.

The real goal of the plan is not to capture Robin, but to incite the Titans' reactions. If all goes according to plan, Robin will have seemingly attacked a random civilian for no reason. Many of the Titans will believe that he must have had a reason for acting as he did. But without a culprit to blame, the probability of the Titan's arriving at the conclusion you want them to is relatively sound.

You want them to believe that Robin had worked himself thin, and the stress ultimately resulted in him taking out his frustrations out on the first available target.

Many Titan's will want to avoid falling to the same fate as Robin, and attempt to unwind and relax more often. Others will argue that now is the time that they should be on their guard the most.

The only detraction from this method is the fact that unlike your initial pitch, you will not have the time to build yourself up as that neutral third party that kepts keep both sides from turning on each other until it is done on YOUR terms. Still, you have plenty of connections to the Titans thanks to that party. As long as the ones you can contact are fairly evenly split, there shouldn't be much to worry about for now. Even if the schism is not that large or evenly split, you'll have essentially lit the fuse that will destroy their foundation. You just need to monitor the situation much more closely, and your direct involvement will likely be greater than predicted as well.

The only part that irks you is how you'll have to, in a sense, take a fall to Robin, to make the plan work. Even though he'll only be playing into your hands, it still wounds your pride that Robin will effectively shed your blood first.

Still, a minor wound to your pride is a small price to pay: Father still gets Robin at his feet, and your plan gets launched to what is a potentially greater effect with faster results.

In theory, a win-win.

You have your plan. Now comes onto the execution.
