It was mostly a dream

Fortunately, you feel your connection with the Burning Rose and your hymen, though your thighs feel strangely sore, and the Burning Rose's power feel weakened. As if part of that dream had an effect on reality. Next to you, Casey fully wakes up, and throws herself at you, hugging you.

"Oh, Sabine, I had the worst nightmare I've ever had! All of a sudden there was this daemon fucking me and there were tentacles holding you!", she cries as you are shocked into silence. How could Casey have dreamt the same thing? Unless it wasn't a dream. But your hymen... and the goddess... After a while you can form a simple question.

"You dreamt that too?!", is all you manage to ask, and Casey's eyes fill with confusion and worry. You can only try to figure it out yourself. How all could this be possible? Could it be the doing of the daemon?

"You too? But how... unless... but those were just stories...", she mumbles to herself, likewise trying to figure out what happened. Despite the horror of everything and how real it felt, you can't help but feel relief. Your virginity is still intact, and it seems you are safe for now, as is Casey. Truth be told, despite what she did before, and only knowing her for a short while, you've come to really care about her wellbeing. Maybe even consider her an actual friend. Your thoughts are cut short when Casey speaks, startling you a bit.

"I think I may know. I've heard stories of a type of daemon that focuses on the mind. Can't remember their name, but they get into their victim's minds and dreams, and attack from there. They are very powerful within the mind, but no so much in the real world, although what they do in dreams can have an effect in the actual world", she explains to you, much to your shock. You've never heard of such a daemon.

However, it is the last part that really worried you. The daemon had its way with the Burning Rose in your dream, and her power within you feels weaker. Could it be that it is weakening your resolve and the Burning Rose herself by using your dreams? You decide to tell Casey and get her opinion.

"Casey, in the dream, the daemon's tentacles broke my hymen, and it had its way with the Burning Rose. Now, her power feels weaker. Could that be its goal? To consume the Burning Rose's power through me?", you ask her, worry clear in your voice, and her reply isn't very uplifting.

"It's possible. If that is happening we have to go. Every time you sleep it could do that to weaken the Burning Rose until she is left powerless. I remember an old sage once told me gods and goddesses sacrifice a lot of their power when they link to humans, and become weaker to attacks", she informs you, much to your worry. Sleep is a necessity. If you do not sleep you will not be in top shape. But every time you sleep, the Burning Rose will be weakened, as will you. You need to move fast. Casey agrees, and you quickly leave the tower behind, headed to the nearest town to continue you journey. The hunter daemon may be dead, but you have no time to lose.
