It was Jessica

You close your eyes recalling the vision, your eyes snap back open when you remember. It had been female Jessica's' hand that caught you. You turn to female Jessica who watches and waits for your decision.

You try to smile, "we've already come this far. Let's not waste our efforts any further. We'll need to convince Niki to keep the babies." You sigh, "I just don't know how."

You hear Jessica lets out her pent up breathe, "whew." A moment later she speaks, "well if I were her, first thing I would be doing is getting some morning after pills."

"I don't think my sister has the nerve to do that," you sigh when you think about it. "No, she is more likely to hope nothing happens."

"So, you don't think we'll need to do anything more?"

You shake your head. The more you think about your sister you realize the problem is not convincing her to keep the babies but helping her keep her sanity.

"What about when she does find out? Surely she'll do something then?"

Again, you shake your head, "no she's more likely to just break down. A lot of crying and traumatized for life." After a minute of silence, you get an idea, "that's when we come in."

"What do you mean?" Jessica raises an eye brow.

You turn to her, "look we **** her, it's only right that we help raise them. Those kids are as much ours as they are hers."

Jessica nods her head, "your right about that."

After swapping clothes and some more discussion you head home. As expected, Niki is very temperamental and it is best to avoid her. She does not speak much and there is no mention of your friends from the day before. This goes on for a few days and by the time your parents return home she is back to normal, mostly. About two months later you notice your sister once again becoming agitated. Jessica has been hanging out more often and observes the changes as well. It is not until three months after the incident that Niki cracks.

Jessica notices it first, "shush. Do you hear that?"

You stop talking and listen. It is faint but unmistakable. Nicoline is crying.

You exchange glances, words are not needed the concerned looks the two of you share is enough. You exit your room and approach the bathroom, the source of the crying.

You give the door a light knock, "Niki?"

Niki sniffles hard in a vain attempt to keep herself from crying. After a few tries she must realize it is not going to work and her voice quivers from the other side of the door, "what do you want?"

"Are you ok?" it is a stupid question you realize afterward but it will give Niki the opportunity to elaborate, if she chooses to.

Which she chooses not to, "I'm fine." Her tone of voice says otherwise and you look to Jessica for help.

"No, you're not. You're pregnant aren't you," says Jessica. You are taken aback by Jessica's bluntness but nothing like Niki. She stops crying for a moment when she hears this and moments later opens the door bewildered as she looks at Jessica.

"H..h..how...," Niki starts but Jessica interrupts her stuttering.

"How do I know you're pregnant? Because I have seen the way you have been acting. I probably even know who did it. A pool party with some of your brother's friends? There's a reason you do not see them around," Jessica voice goes softer as she ends.

Niki begins bawling and Jessica steps forward embracing her, "I...I didn't mean to, they..they..." Niki tries talking through her tears but is ineffective.

Your eyes are watering now too, "you don't need to tell us. We're going to help you."
