It goes well

Things went from good to great for you when Rachel saves you for last, and whether it was intentional or not, you figure she must've taken to you, either way.

"Hey John, thanks for waiting. I actually did have a reason to save you for last, you know," she tells you, brushing her hair back and giving you a little wink as she sits you down and continues.

"I'm all ears Rachel," you tell her, hoping she'll give you a reason you'll want to hear and not one that will be bad for you.

"Since I'm single right now, I decided that at every meet and greet we do, I was going to pick one guy out of the crowd and give them the chance to go on a date with me. And tonight, John, is your lucky night. So what do you say baby?"

The promise of anything more than that, of course, had not been brought up, but you like to consider yourself pretty good at that particular skill, so you naturally jump at the chance to do it.

"Well of course I'm gonna say yes, Rachel," you tell her, giving her a friendly slug on the shoulder, "how often does one expect to get this chance, after all?"

"Stay here," she tells you, smacking you back playfully, "I'll be back in a little bit and our date can begin."
