It's a dragon... of course it is

Well we are heading into this giant cave and I still don’t know what… you begin to think as you are suddenly taken in by piles you begin to see around piles of… gold. Gold, gems, crystals, and jewelry. Oh no, if fantasy pop culture taught you anything this is… oh god no… a dragons den. Lets just hope it’s not a red dragon, please don’t be a red dragon, please don’t be a red dragon you begin to chant like a prayer in your head.

As you get closer you begin to see smoke filling the top of the cave. You feel Gartha place a hand on your shoulder, “You ready to punch a dragon newbie haha” she says quietly, clearly enjoying the terror in your eyes.

It’s not much longer before you round a corner to see a huge pile of gold with… of course, an insanely large red dragon sleeping on top of it. You’d read of dragons being gargantuan but it’s something completely different seeing it in person, you were so small in comparison.

Gartha gathered you all together and began guiding the troops to their places, many hiding behind cover and getting good vantage points around the room, a few even seem to run on the walls to reach high places without any normal way to get to it. “Ok Yorrick now just approach and punch it with everything you got” she says nonchalantly.

You look at her like she’s crazy “Oh come on it’s in hibernation we are only whispering becaused it’s a habit the dragon won’t wake up until you attack it and at that point you should run behind me, it’ll be fine” she says.

“Fine” you say as you begin to slowly creep up to the dragon. Oh why the hell am i doing this you think as you approach. Luckily Gartha was right; you got right up the dragon's stomach without it waking up. You breath 3 times and focus all of your strength into the best punch you can, you make sure to use the unbroken hand and even though it’s your nondominant side you fling it forward with immense power and as it collides with the dragon you hear the horrible snap and the dragon is knocked way back into a wall as you run back to Gartha, there is an audible gasp from nearly all the hunters before they realize they have a job to do and lay down an immense amount of arrows towards the dragon and Gartha and a few other fighters rush in for melee strikes.

The dragon seemingly caught even more off guard then the hunters were, trying to take in its surroundings, It begins lashing out at the nearest hunters, it’s a rough battle you watch from behind a rock. The dragon is devastating the hunters but He took a huge blow from you so they are seemingly close to taking it down. The red dragon begins swiping at the melee fighters and quickly takes out all but Gartha who seems to take his blows and return with even more vigor.

You see the dragon draws in a mighty breath and Gartha begins to book it for the nearest cover, unfortunately the dragon had gotten her into a bad spot and she was gonna be able to make it before… he takes flight, suddenly the dragon sores up and blasts a wave of fire all around the periphery of the room blasting the bowman. He continues his blast of fire until you a familiar Tall bow sticking out from a rock and without even thinking about it you focus all of your mana you can muster and summon a mighty crystal spike out of the ceiling and pierce through the dragon causing it to convulse and cough up a glob of some sort of prismatic liquid onto the ground, Del’ya seeing the opportunity moves out of cover and begins firing at the now stationary dragon. With her large bow she is able to dela immense damage to dragon and you watch as it is being torn apart.

It’s then that you realize the toll of that giant spike, as the magic leaves your body, you begin to feel faint. “Gartha I...” you begin to say as you fall to the ground, as you are about to hit the rough ground you are caught by Gartha. Your head feels foggy, You… thinking is hard… Why do I keep fainting… ugh; I hate this you think as the fog covers your brain and you fall asleep in Gartha’s arms.
