It's a box.

"Bloody..." Muttering to herself, Lara waited for her body to regain full functionality before shakily getting to her feet. She further examined the cave, taking stock of her situation.

Break the problem down, just like Father always said. Richard Croft hadn't been the largest influence on his daughter but this was a strategy he drilled into her from an early age.

1. There's a fire, somebody must be nearby.
2. There's debris everywhere: ropes, cloth, driftwood... Almost like a nest?
3. Whoever lives here is probably crazy.
4. There's only one way out.

Then that's all that really mattered. Grabbing a longer piece of driftwood from the fire she steeled herself. She had a knife and a torch and anything that stopped her from getting out of this cave was getting hell. Cautiously she made her way down the passage, she could hear a stream ahead as well as a grating sound and... muttering.

"Hehe...got meself a girl...gonna fuck the.....keep her from the Solarii...Craaazzy Bastards..."

As Lara peered around the corner, a feral looking man dragging a piece of driftwood came into her view. Unfortunately she also came into his. Dropping the driftwood he hurled himself forward at Lara, who thrust the torch in his face and darted around the writhing figure. She let out an involuntary yelp as she stumbled forward into knee-deep water, holding the torch high and praying she wouldn't trip. After a few minutes of mad dashing through the underground stream, she hazarded a glance back. She couldn't see him but after she slowed down she could hear cursing and splashing so she redoubled her efforts. Never before had she been so glad she kept herself in shape. Wait, was that sunlight?

"Finally, a light at the end of the tunnel!" She cackled in spite of herself. There was just so much wrong with her morning she couldn't help but laugh maniacally as sprinted down the tunnel from the crazed homeless man. With a final burst of speed she sprinted out into daylight...
