It's Late 2019

Officer Dela Cruz and Officer O'Neill returned looking sombre.

Officer Dela Cruz addressed Ed and Cory together with Idris and Kirsty. "I have discussed this with my partner and there are obviously a number of factors at play here."

"I don't see how, I grew up here" Ed stated.

Officer Dela Cruz pursed her lips "be that as it may that doesn't mean you have an automatic right to the property. That's for the lawyers to decide. In the meantime as you are currently the only known living family member we think it's the best course that Idris vacate the property until the courts can make an appropriate judgement."

"That's bullshit!" exclaimed Idris as Cory laughed "These pervs watched me making sweet love."

"Sir, it's not a crime for someone to turn down your offer of" she referred to her logbook and read in a monotone "blowing a bitches back out."

"That's cos no one's done you right" Idris argued.

Officer O'Neill suppressed a smile as Officer Dela Cruz replied "I guess you're proof that practice doesn't make perfect."

"Baby, when you finish your shift why don't you come on back here with your handcuffs and I'll show you my louisiana lane change" Idris offered.

"Thank you but I would rather wait for a train in Tampa" Officer Dela Cruz

Kirsty looked confused "hey... there ain't no trains in Tampa"

Idris laughed "oh you one nasty officer"

"You'll never know how nasty I can be" Officer Dela Cruz

Officer O'Neill stepped forward "unless you want to find out how nasty I can be I suggest you gather what you need to live elsewhere until the courts resolve the situation."

"Wait... wait... but he assaulted me" Idris protested.

"Did you file a report?" Officer O'Neill asked

"Naw but..."

"Where there any witnesses?"

"Yeah but no..." Idris wriggled

"Sir, please do as requested so I don't have to arrest you for wasting police time" Officer O'Neill advised.

Idris held his hands "I ain't resisting nothing, I know better." He indicated to Kirsty "C'mon baby lets get our shit and take this party elsewhere."

Officer O'Neill followed Idris and Kirsty upstairs leaving Officer Dela Cruz in the living room with Ed and Cory.

"Thank you Officer, I really appreciate it" Cory stated

"You're welcome ma'am" Officer Dela Cruz replied, "we just try to do what we think is fair." She turned to Ed "But you really need to get the help of a good lawyer as well as a strong support network."

"I know thank you" Ed replied.

"I've encountered guys like that before, don't underestimate them. The smart ones use the law to their advantage to get what they want" Officer Dela Cruz opinioned.

Cory growled "can't you just get rid of him?"

Officer Dela Cruz sighed "if we got rid of everyone we didn't like there wouldn't be many people left"

"Amen" Cory laughed.

Officer Dela Cruz, Cory and Ed made further small talk until Officer O'Neill returned with a sullen Kirsty and Idris in tow. Idris had three large bags stuffed with whatever would fit inside and dragged them along, Officer O'Neill didn't help.

"You know this isn't the last of me" Idris promised

"What are you, a Scooby Doo villain?" Cory asked.

Idris frowned "no, my lawyers are going to rip you a new one and I'll get what was promised to me!"

"Sir, I would recommend you don't say anything further" Officer O'Neill advised.

Idris and muttered under his breath.

"Something else to say?" asked Officer O'Neill

"No, sir" growled Idris.

Idris and Kirsty were then escorted from the premises by the cops.

Briefly returning to wrap up and before they left to their next call Officers O'Neill and Dela Cruz exchanged contact details with Cory and Ed. Officer O'Neill made a point of telling Cory that they'd be in touch and gave her the details of a lawyer he claimed to know. Cory smiled politely and thanked him.
