Rouge's Recruitment

Things were getting difficult for Rouge the Bat. Her latest caper almost ended with her in jail. She hated to admit it, but perhaps it was time to seek another way to get filthy rich. Being a spy wasn't working, nor was being a thief.

What she really desired was power. The power to control others. To rule over everyone as a queen...no...as a goddess! But there was no possible way she could get such power...

...or could she? Digging through her dresser, she found what she was looking for. A special emerald she found deep inside the ruins of Tel'thoria. The runes told that it held the power to ensnare minds. Perhaps she could use this to achieve her dreams.

As she thought about it, the jewel pulsed slightly, drawing Rouge's eyes to it. The colors of the jewel seemed to swirl around in an almost hypnotic fashion. A relaxing feeling began entering her mind....
