They fight over a man
Chapter 1

The angel stood not far from the couple wallowing in the rustling grass. She felt repulsed, disgusted by the wet, rhythmic slapping of their naked bodies. Their moans sounded like blasphemy to her ears. His were wild and raw and unrestrained. Hers were even wilder, yet false, artificial.
No wonder, thought Celene, how could a demon be honest? Everything about the devilish seductress was calculating, without true feelings—except for the unbridled need to possess the mortal and corrupt his immortal soul.
Celene wanted to turn away. But she couldn't. Despite the revulsion. Despite the disgust. Something held her.
The demon's legs wrapped around the man's hips, thrusting against her, driving him wild. In a dance as old as humanity itself. Her body writhed beneath his, arching up. A picture of unbridled ecstasy and devotion.
He took her. Used her, like a man uses a woman. And didn't even notice how he was losing himself to her at the same time.
Celene remained outwardly calm. Only a slight tremor of her feathered wings betrayed her unease. She gnawed at her lower lip.
_I mustn't lose him. I have to save him, _she justified to herself why she stayed.
And she watched.
A hot shiver ran down her spine. Warmth gathered in her belly.
Her thoughts wandered. To forbidden places.
If I touched him like that... would he look at me like he was looking at her?
_If I lay there beneath him... would he tremble and moan like that too?___
Her own body betrayed her. Her cheeks grew redder. Her breathing quickened. With every rise of her chest, her hard nipples strained against the thin white shirt that barely concealed her slender, feminine figure. She pressed her thighs together so tightly that they trembled. Afraid that someone might discover how wet she was getting down there.
She hated these feelings. She didn't want to be like this. She mustn't be. Love was something sacred—pure, selfless. Not this dirty panting of intertwined, sweaty bodies.
But she continued to watch.
Because she wanted to understand. Because she had to understand. What does this devil woman have that I don't? Why did he turn to her and not me?
Can I win him back? Lead him onto the right path?
And with that first little doubt, the seed was planted.
