Introduction 2

You were dreaming of her again. The girl you saw at the docking platform. You know she is only a few pods away and thinking of her keeps you from going mad with boredom between the computers inane questions about couplings and capacitor coils. You have just finished another round of "spot the flaw in the blueprint" and were readying a particularly enticing fantasy involving some cream and blueberries when you noticed a sensation of warmth.

Something was breathing a warm breeze against your face and this immediately strikes you as odd. The computer has just reminded you in its unending monotone that the ship is not at its destination. Therefore, you should certainly not be able to feel the blood warming in your chest. Trying to remain completely calm you reach out with your thoughts like the instructors taught you, 'Computer, why am I waking up?' Nothing but resounding silence echoes back to quell your concerns.

You can feel your legs and arms now, they ache but the pod is keeping them immobile.You find yourself in a unique mental quandary. You are definitely awake, and most likely early. This means something is wrong.
